My P3 hasn't been set above 15watts, so not in the need category for me.

Nor could you in reality have made that statement with your V1 or V2 Provi... But here we are.

It will continue to grow Watts Wise. You can bet on that.

Perhaps not to A Professional Vapers level, But it will grow to 30 Watts one day.

IMO, Jim

I disagree. Average vapers are ProVape's target market. If someone wants more wattage, I would also have to assume they are building lowner ohmed coils, too. ProVape is all about safety, not how many watts they can achieve.

See above response...

The new Aspire Atlantis clearo is a .5 ohm build that apparently vapes best at 30+watts, so I could certainly see the advantage of higher wattage.
It doesn't matter if you never use the full potential of the device, the higher your limits the more you can play around with different builds. Especially considering the P3 comes with hybrid threading, and that the dna40 board is built in the US (right?), also to exacting standards of safety, it really shouldn't be that big of a stretch to expect a ProVari that can pump out more than 20 watts and still do it safely. Surely the brilliant minds at ProVape are capable of it.
I'm not saying ProVape should jump on the 260+watt bandwagon, but at least with something like a 260 watt limit and the right batteries, I'd never have to worry about the resistance of my builds again. But 30 watts, 40 watts...if eVOLV can do it, I don't think it unreasonable to expect or believe that ProVape could safely do the same.

The "new" 800 mAH AW IMR 18350s are rated at 15C, or 15 times 0.8AH = 12A

That's enough to support 30W into 0.5Ω, even boosting 3.0V battery voltage under load to 3.87V, with a 90% efficiency.

OTOH, an "old" 2000 mAH AW IMR 18650 is rated at a flat 10A and falls a bit short there.

I agree the three battery configuration will be the standard henceforth. There will NOT be an 18650-only P3+ model.
