So, I am a 1-2 pack a day smoker SMoked light analogs. I'm finding the 11mg carts/juice helped me cut back to about half pack a day or less. Brings me to a couple questions for the pros out there. Is the jump from 11mg to 16 or 18mg a decent size leap? And what do you find is the proper lvl carts for you compared to what you smoked in analogs? With the 11mg I still have the "analog itch".

I smoked Virginia Slims Regular and went with the Virginia 16mg. I haven't had an analog in 19 days. If you are still having the analog itch I would suggest going up in strength to the next level. Also, I would suggest different flavors. The different flavors seem to help curb the desire for the analog as well. Good luck and hope I helped.

Newb here, I also was 1-2 packs of lights. It's only been 4 days analog free but I'm still at 24mg carts with 16's and 36's mixed in. I make sure to not drag all day though, well timed breaks with 15 drags for 5 minutes or so, just like the old analog routine. I'll try going lower in nicotine after 2 weeks but for now I feel like the safety net needs to be in place.

Overall, the "itch" to grab an analog is there, but the nicotine in the vapor is more than enough to not want one. Hard to explain except to say that although the "habit" isn't gone, the urge to get nicotine from an analog passed almost immediately when I started vaping.

It really seems to be different for everybody, at least that's what I've found. I smoked a pack a day of Marlboro Lights Menthol, sometimes up to 25 cigs a day. I started out on 12mg liquid and have been able to keep that going, though I do like a nice kick start in the morning off 24mg, then just keep it mellow at 12mg the rest of the day.

I too was able to stay off the analogs since day 1 of vaping due to the nicotine cravings being non-existant. Once you detox all the other chemicals from analogs out of your body you'll be doing great! :) Check back in a week and let us know how it's going.

I second that request. Please check in. Not only does this board have great information, but there is a great underlying support system here as well.

I must be operating on a different wave length. I was on a nearly 60 analog a day habit. I opted for low NIC PVs and I'm on 8mg.

I have found that my smoking habits have changed a lot. Been smoking Now Menthol 100s for as long as I can remember and even spent years smoking Home Runs and Picayunes. (2 of the strongest analogs you've never heard of).

Now that my NIC hit is spread out more evenly the 8mg is working for me and I'm not going though as many carts as most would be because when I vape it isn't the same as smoking 1 complete analog so I'm using far less and it's working FOR ME. I have eliminated almost 50 analogs a day so I'm not completely off of them but the number is going down and I should be off in a few days. The analogs are beginning to taste worse and worse as time goes on. If I don't enjoy them any more then I'll stop using them. And yes, I did enjoy smoking for all of the 48 years I've smoked. At 63 most people would never guess I've been smoking that much for that ling and I'm still here

So the 2.5 packs a day I eliminated is translating to 1.5 - 2 carts. My mileage is pretty darn good.

Sounds like your mileage is just fine. I always tell people when they start to start medium to low and see how it works for them.

One tobacco cigarette has around 1mg of nicotine, One pack has around 20mg. Light, Ultra Light, Full flavor, all have the same amount of nicotine according to the makers, they reduce the tar and thickened the filter, but all cigarettes have the same amount of nicotine.

I decided to measure by drops, not ml. and figure out how much nicotine is in 4 drops, since I usually top off my cart with 2-4 drops, and I only want to vape those drops until they're gone and have them not be more than 1 cigarette, So I mixed my e-liquid to be 4mg which comes out to .25mg per drop, 4 drops = 1mg (1 cig). That way, if I vape alot and have times I can't seem to put it down for 1 1 /2 to 2 hours, and I top off my cart 5 or 6 times, during that period, (which would be alot), i would only be getting 6mg or
(which would be equal to 6 cigarettes in 2 hours, which would be like smoking 1 cig every 20 mins. during heavy vaping times)

1 dse801 cart is about 1ml. So even if I use up my cart at the end of the day, and it just doesn't seem to vape well, I would only have vaped 4mg or (smoked nicotine equal to 4 cigarettes all day.) If I used up 2 carts, that's only 8mg, or 8 cigs, which is less than half a pck.

When you figure out 36mg, that's almost 2 packs of analogs and 1.8mg per drop, which is almost 2 whole cigarettes per per drop, and if you add 4 drops to top off your cart, that's 7.2mg or a little over 7 cigarettes. ( when you figure 1 ml. = 20drops) Each liquid varies ofcourse on drops and thickness of liquid, but avarage amount is 20 drops@ml. If you use 36mg, and go through 2 carts, that are 1ml a piece, that's 72 mg, or 72 analog cigs = 3 1/2 packs of cigs at the end of the day

That's why I decided I'd better find a better way to ensure myself I'm not over doing nic intakes.

I know not everyone will probably agree with my estimations and they are approoximate only, to help give others and "idea" of how much nicotine they are using, and not a "perfect" formula, so those who disagree, for what ever reason, please know, this is just how I keep track of it and know that if I start mindless vaping, I'm not going to OD and atleast for me, it's helping and it works. And doing this has helped me cut down gradually from 35mg, to 24, to 18, to 4mg.

Peace

I'd say it's working beyond my wildest expectations.

Honestly I did it more for the money than the health benefit, originally. But I can tell the difference in my taste buds

Saving around $300 a month and climbing.
