OK, I'm a very new and therefore inexperienced vaper, but isn't 0.8, % nicotine the same as 80 mg?? If that is the case the level of nicotine is extremely high, and then that is probably why you have had such a reaction. And if I'm right the level is probably just not good for you, and might even be very dangerous, so in that case you should probably drop the nic level A LOT...

No, 0.8% nicotine translates to 8 mg of nicotine per ml of liquid. So if you're going through 4 ml of liquid in one day, that means 32 mg of nicotine, although you don't actually absorb all of the nicotine that is in the juice/vapor. I've heard it said that the absorption rate is more like 40% so if that percentage is correct, then of the 32 mg of nicotine in the 4 ml of liquid, your body is really only getting about 12.8 mg of nicotine.

0.8% is 8mg/ml, not 80.
Thanks for correcting me. As I said I'm quite new to vaping, and when I read about the symptoms he was having I obviously got it mixed up in my head. I have read about levels and how the 0.something% equals mg per ml level, but I obviously mixed it up. Good thing you had a more helpful response than me. I just got worried and jumped the gun with my answer. Think I will probably leave it up to the people who actually knows what they're talking about to answer such ports in the future. [emoji13]

What PG/VG ratio is your juice? When I have higher PG, I don't get quite the volume of vapor as I do with higher VG.

I use around 6mg in my lower-ohmmed toppers. Around 9mg at higher ohms. It's all about what you can handle. I read that some folks hit 18-24mg at low ohms and it doesn't bother them. Everyone is different.

The Subtanks are closer to a "dripping" experience than more conventional tanks. Dripping, by nature, delivers nicotine in a higher concentration/puff than a conventional tank, so you will see drippers and sub-ohmmers who will bump their nic levels down. You could pick up some USP Grade VG from Walmart or some pharmacy section and cut a bit of your current juice with it. You'll reduce both the nic level as well as the flavor, though. The extra VG should improve the density of the cloud, and the lower nic should be a little easier for you to handle.

You're likely taking more of a direct-lung hit, which is a little more rugged to handle unless you're used to it.

Good Luck

ETA - sorry, you replied to another poster before I could finish babbling. I find that 50/50 doesn't give me much cloud on the Subtank - I've had to up my VG when I use those tanks. :)
