Not sure if it is by batch or color, but I have a blue spinner 1300, that is peeling like crazy... I used to think it was nicked up in my bag, but I have a black spinner 1300 that gets the same treatment, and it looks like new. The blue one is newer, I think from late spring.

Both still work great, but I hope SI is looking into the QC in their factory.

Not complaining, just FYI.

I had problems with my blue as well, but none of the other colors. I have 10 spinners

If the paint does peel off, here's a secret so you know the voltage. The button is 3.3v. 1/4 turn to the right is 3.8. Halfway around is 4.3 and 3/4 of the way around is 4.8

10 spinners??? A little obsessed are we??? LOL

I have them all over the house and take 2 in the car. I never want one to go dead when I'm out. It also varies with what size I want.

Primarily I use 1300mah ones but sometimes I just want the little 650mah. I don't really use the 900, though I have 2 of them

I like having the different colors. I reward myself with a new color time to time to keep things fun. Buying new batteries is motivational for me and my little reward for quitting smokes. Afterall we all deserve it!

Not fully related but similar and instead of making a new thread I figured this would be ok to post here.

Anybody else have an issue with the rubberized finish on the x2 batts deteriorating quickly? Had mine for 2 weeks now and its starting to just disappear in small spots all over the battery. Its really not a huge issue, just wondering if anybody had an answer as to why.

I have . . . um, quite a few X²s, some as old as 9 months, all used very heavily, and none of them (yet) have any finish issues. That said, I haven't bought a new one in several months (yes, I splurged when they first came out! :D).

I wonder if the latest production run is having QC issues (since yours is only 2 weeks old)?
