Any advice or recommendations how would would paint the SB if you chose to?

I wouldn't. Probably just buy another one already painted.

1) It's polished aluminum so it would have to be prepared to get proper paint adhesion. If you were to do that yourself that would involve something like roughing it with 400 sandpaper, followed by etching it with an acid prep and then paint.

2) It would have to be disassembled. It has that switch (which is vented) and the threads for the atomizer adapter, and the inside of the barrel, and the barrel and top threads, all of which you don't want to get paint on.

If you did disassemble it, then I would take the parts to a powder coater with instructions of exactly what's supposed to get paint on it and what's not.

A white bb with black button would look awesome. I would even pay extra if you could do a custom order. What do you say Chad?
Darn it, I knew I forgot something. I just picked this run up from powder coating too. I was going to do a few in white. Guess it wil have to wait till our next run on the BB.

I am looking into having the rims on my wrx powdercoated and was thinking of doing the sb at the same time.

I will be doing both gold/yellow in color if it all pans out :p

Edit- Also gonna look at gunmetal or carbon grey if I can't get the right shade of gold/yellow.
The heat from the bake may cause a few issues with the switch, your talking over 400 degree.

Ya, I wasn't sure how easy the sb is to disassemble to powdercoat (if its even possible). Plus i really like the shiny finish it has already lol.
I go powdercoat crazy sometimes :toast:

I have rebuilt a couple that someone atempted to disasemble, I had to re-skin the tube on a lathe to get it to look halfway decent. Of coarse I repaired it under warranty....................................
