Pali V4 First impressions

First let me start by saying I am new to RBAs, that being said the Pali v4 was not what I was looking for, it has an incredably tight draw, and keeps dry wicking, ai least that is what I think you would call the horrible burnt taste I keep getting. This is a step by step of what I have done, to try and resolve this issue.
1 tried it as it was set up. straight out of the box resist on coil was 3.2 ohm, filled tank saturated both wicks from the tank and the wick and coil, dry pulled on it a few times t get the system wicking, 3rd pull dry, reapeated this 4 times same results.
2 Decided the wick with the coil was too short decided to build another coil and try 2 wicks, ( first time building a coil ever) 2.5 ohms no hot spots and even burn, Lucky or its not as hard as it looks. 5-6 draws and boom that horrible burnt taste.

I think the issue with this rba is going to be the air intake is to small and does not allow for proper siphoning out of the top tank. I inted to gt some pole fill and illiminate the feeding wicks and give this a try. any suggestions would be appreciated.

i dont have one so i can only go by the pictures, it would look like no matter what - the coil wick would need to be in contact with the tank wicks hanging down to be sure it is drawing fluid.
my idea if i ordered this was to cut 2 sides of the tank bottom feeder piece off and make an oval like this-> 0 then fill it with polyfill and stick the coil wicks up into the sides that were cut away touching the poly. in a sense making a large spheroid type atty.

thanks thrasher that is what i had in mind, still gont know what to do about the air restriction

for the draw it could be just a case of the airholes being restricted by being screwed down too tight - is it still tight when off the battery completely? or just when screwed on? i know my spheri is like this as soon as i lock it down on my proV it locks up but a 1/4 turn back so it just gets a firm grip and it works fine. this could be the reason more of them arent out in the wild and there is more people using them. dunno

yes it is, I think the problem lies in the very small diameter air tube that comes up under the coil the air holes are not on the threading but on the bottom ring and are above the battery housing when screwed on, I blew through one side and it wazs very open so drilling would not be an option.
