Week 3 post 2

Dont know if anyone has seen this before, I thought it was funny:

The Panda By Donna Word Chappell :

A big old pudgy panda bear walked into McDonald's one day.
Ordered a Big Mac, fries and a Coke, and ate it all right away.
He paid his bill at the counter, then with a great big grin
He pulled out a big water pistol and shot the cashier in the chin.
He sauntered out to the sidewalk; the cashier followed him there.
Drying his face he said, "Why'd you do that? It wasn't really fair."
"In the encyclopedia, friend, the answer can be found."
The panda said, and then he left, saying, "Well, I'll see ya around."
The cashier looked it up that night. What he saw he couldn't believe.
The encyclopedia said, "Panda -- eats shoots and leaves."

Here, there, everywhere!
Week 3 Day 4

I am starting to think about growing a garden this year, it has been a long time since I have grown anything besides flowers. Things are so much easier now that you don,t have to pressure cook and can. Most things can just go in baggies in the freezer.

Week 3 Day 5

We still can things but we don't "pressure cook". We put the jars in boiling water upside down along with the lids and rings. Pull a jar out, put in your product, quickly put a lid on, then the ring and tighten down - wait for the pop:D We do salsa, tomato juice, tomato sauce - I think that is all I have done so far but I know those 3 things work just fine. This year we will have more :)

My husbands mom - who used to do all the pressure cooker stuff - told me about that.
