i have a panzer black hawk clone that i bought off ebay about 4-5 months ago. long story short i fell off the vaping wagon for a little.

now that i'm back in it and committed to quitting all tobacco products i wanted to take this baby for a spin. and well it doesnt seem to working...at all.

it came with an RDA that i guess is an MCV clone or just a random RDA. it has simple airflow options (two small holes on each side) and its a three post. i put a simple 1.3ohm single coil on it and fired it to get the coils glowing but it took quite a bit of time to heat up. once i wicked the coil and fired it up it barely even heated up, not even close enough for a decent his. I have a plume veil clone as well that had the same issue.

couple days after this my kanger subtank mini came in. i've used this tank on the VW mod i purchased at my local vape shop and it works like a charm. so i figured it would work on the black hawk clone as well....not the case. did not fire up the coil or anything. i'm really not sure what the issue could be. i've tweaked just about everything i know you can tweak on the clone but nothing works. i use sony VTC4 30A batteries on all my mods (currently 4 including this black hawk) and haven't had any issues with the exception of this one.

anybody have any insight to this? i'd love to use the mod since it has a pretty nice finish to it.

Hello, is there any paint on the threads? Such as the main body threads, the switch to body threads, or the top cap to body thread? The panzer comes in 5 pieces... Switch, 3 body segments, and the top cap (510). If there is any paint/finish on those threads they can affect the voltage output of your mod... In the worst case drastically. I have a panzer clone as well.. But it is not the blackhawk edition.

sorry for the dragged out responses guys. i'm just trying to gather as much info as i can. its all much appreciated.

Contact pins maybe. You have any battery rattle

on the top cap theres an adjustable pin that you can loosen to limit the rattle. i've done that a few different times to the point where i couldn't even close the bottom all the way. didn't seem to do anything at all.

i didn't really notice any additional paint anywhere but now that you mention that i will have to examine it further to see if that could be the issue. i think it may have to do with the 510 connection. when i last compared it to my VW mod it seemed to be more recessed on the black hawk.

A .5 ohm OCC from a Subtank should rip on a mech with a relatively fresh battery. Mine does. Something is definitely off with the mod.

You are using the .5 ohm coil in the Subtank?

no i am using the 1.2ohm OCC because truthfully i was nervous to use the .5ohm right off the bat. i've read all of Baditude's guides and whatnot and don't get me wrong, his blogs are very informative but they also have a bit of scariness to them since i'm really just getting into mods and rebuildables lol. i've been using the 1.2ohm OCC for almost a week now it seems to still be going strong but i am really tempted to jump down to the .5ohm OCC.

This. A common problem with these clones. Carefully sand the paint off all the threads.

Also clean your contacts and switch.
