I know that there have already been at least a couple of threads regarding reducing voltage drop on SS mechanical mods using copper tape. There was some debate as to whether it was effective or not.

My Panzer even when thoroughly cleaned and Noaloxed, still had a 0.7v drop at 0.6ohms. I just ran two 5mm strips of copper tape from the top to the bottom threads, and it now has only a 0.3 volt drop at the same 0.6ohm load. I'm extremely pleased with this as it has more than doubled the efficiency of the mod.

I sourced it from Amazon. Search for "copper tape", it's used as slug repellent, I paid £4 for a whole roll of it.

Details:

Cut a strip just slightly longer than the mod. With the backing on, feed it down the tube. Then weight the ends down, I used little electrical crocodile clips. Then peel the backing through the mod, apply some tension and stick the strip down carefully. Cut each end just short of the end of the tube, and carefully mold the tape down into the threads. Also be careful when positioning the strips not to cover any vent holes on the tube.
Of course now the tube will be fixed in 18650 or whatever mode it's set to. A small amount on the tape gets scraped out when you loosen the caps, so you may have to reapply occasionally. I used two 5mm strips, but I'm guessing the more you use the better.
