Hey guys,
I bought a Panzer clone a few months back and it has been working great. I still use my dna 40 most of the time, but when I'm hiking or at work, I tend to bring my Panzer along in case I get stuck in the rain. I'd rather not subject a circuit board to too much moisture.
As it happens, I dropped the mech on its locking ring while it was locked. It still locks and unlocks, but the threads are not as smooth anymore, and tend to not catch as easily when I try to lock it. Also, the small tube on the bottom and the piece housing the firing button are completely jammed together. I've tried sticking it in a vice and taking a wrench to it, but they just won't separate. It fire just fine, but this little detail is a bit annoying. I've been searching all over for replacements for those pieces, but I can't find anything.
Does anyone know where I might be able to find replacement parts for a Panzer? The only pieces I can find are the switch itself, and contacts.

Also, I am really interested in checking out what other mech are out there, but there are too many to choose from. I only use 18650, so I have no interest in telescoping mods. Plus the ones I've seen in person seem a little flimsy. I love the setup of the Panzer (with the different parts), but I would not be opposed to a solid tube. The most important feature is that it would need to have a locking ring. And either magnets, or the potential to upgrade to a magnetic switch is something I'd like to try out.
If anyone has any ideas, please let me know what you have used and what you like/hate about it. I may not be discouraged by what others dislike about their mods.

Hi Zab , I don't know where you can get replacement parts for your Panzer at , only thing I've seen offered is contacts and magnets . I have the SS 26650 version of the Panzer , definitely a heavy beast , not for out and about for sure . As far as my favorite mech is concerned it's the Stingray X , nothing to dislike about it IMO . All copper internally , very low voltage drop , locking ring and magnetic switch , love the aesthetics too . I'll link you to a good clone . $34.30-$35.99 (Ship from USA)SXK 18650 Stingray X Clone Mechanical Mod

Try taking the button assembly and soak in Dawn soap, dry off completely. You can use canned air to make sure NO water is left...Maybe let it sit for a while. Then put in the freezer to see if that contracts the steel for easier twist off.

You might try thick fitted latex gloves for grip or rubberband. If that does not work, they sell soft grip pliers. Also make sure that it is not reverse threaded. Some Modders do that.

What you might simply need to do , and if you have already done it sorry, but you might just need to take it apart and give it a good cleaning...

Im a mech freak and when my devices have any problems I just take them apart and wash in Dawn and scrub with a soft toothbrush... Then if there are any brass contacts simply polish with a gentle brass cleaner. Wah lah, just like new.
