Panzer Mod - Real or Clone?

I am really hoping someone with legitimate knowledge can help me identify my Panzer mod as a real or clone. If there is anyone out there who can help, I would greatly appreciate it.

I need to know what to look for. Is there a list of serial numbers that the manufacturer put out? Are there dead giveaways?

Where did you get it from? And do you think we could perhaps see a picture of it? A guy at my local B&M has a legitimate Panzer and I could swing by there and show them the picture of yours.

Just my thought, but that is a high serial number for an authentic. Maybe I'm wrong. If your asking, hopefully I'm wrong.

Yeah, in China 5000 were made There is no way this is an original Panzer, high end mods are not mass produced. And for the record, there is no way to you can buy an authentic and not know that its authentic. So the question itself already implies the answer.

Sorry if you were sold this Panzer as an authentic, which is deplorable of the vendor.

Agreed on price. Unless u spend high. If it was low u know its a clone. High you could have been duped. Avoid so by only spending low

It looks exactly like my clone from FT. But to be honest, after looking at photos of the authentic, I can't see a difference either. Similar in every way. The Panzer seems like one of those mods where the clone and the original are made in the same factory. Wouldn't surprise me one bit.

My sample size is fairly small but the genuine mods are of higher quality.

I have never seen a clone with threads as nice as a genuine mod. Switches may look the same but on a clone they don't feel as smooth.

Usually the engraving is not as deep in a clone, although some are doing a lot better now.

I just saw that some clone that claimed copper tubes really had copper plated steel tubes.

There are some clones that cary the name of the manufacturer, like hcigar, where there is some level of reputation behind them and then there is a clone made by people unknown who have nothing invested in a reputation.

I would say that if the threads feel like they are greased then it is real.

Buddy of mine has a Panzer clone and it looks exactly the same. Hard to tell for sure without seeing it in person though.

I would take a look at the threads, vent holes, and logo. If the threads or vent holes have any imperfections, that would sway it more on the clone side. Try to find a picture of the logo of an authentic Panzer, clones usually have very slight (or obvious if they're sub-par clones) variations in the font, graphics, etc. Also, if there are any imperfections with the logo, it's most likely a clone. Then like mentioned before, if the threads have even the slightest bit of grittiness or resistance, it's probably a clone.

Hopefully you didn't purchase a clone for an authentic price. If you bought it new from a reputable shop for a number less than 3 digits, it's clone for sure. If you bought it used, read previous paragraph

Personally I think genuine or clone is the question depending on how much was spent on it.
Who cares how hard it hits if you unknowingly spent genuine money on a clone. I'd be beyond ......!

In the clone, the battery tube is oversized. The battery will rattle aroundfrom side to side.

This is simple. It's a clone. You can tell based on the font of the "serial number"

I have the panzer black hawk and have both a clone and authentic. There are 2 differences that I can see.
1 On the firing pin the clone has a recess or bezel to hold the spring in place. On the authentic one the area where the spring sits is flat with nothing holding the pin in place. This is on both the ss and the bh.
2 On the black hawk the lettering on the authentic is silver and is real crisp and sharp. On the clone the lettering is white and looks like it was silk screened on and not sharp at all.

I am not an expert but those are the 2 most obvious differences between the Panzer clone and authentic.
