Hmm..
I just got off with an interesting call from someone claiming to be from Papa Johns telling me I won a free pizza. Ok, I do business with Papa Johns and do my pizza business with them on occasion. But this was, err..... a bit interesting.
When I was speaking to her, she wanted me to buy one "now", or if I wanted to, buy one later and "mention this call".
Ok, no problem. But I am not about to release my credit card info to some random stranger telling me I just won free pizza. So I politely told her I'd be ordering later.
She seemed very uneasy in the conversation and told me to mention "this call" when I placed a new order. Using the word "ummm" a lot is a big red flag with me. I asked her if there were any offer code I should be providing (to validate the free offer) and she said no, just mention the call in my next order.
SO, should I take her up on the offer and try for a freebie based on a call from a random stranger telling me I won a free pizza?
Or, do you think I was on the side of getting shammed and will not be getting that free pizza after all?
I'm gonna test this theory this week. Worse case scenario, I'll have to pay for my pizza.
If I do get a freebie and this was legit, I'll share it with you all. Let me know where you live and I'll mail your slice out to you!
