I have been using parallel coils with 28g for a while, and am right now using 26g with 5 wraps to try and hold me off until I figure out why my coils stop working. The connections are tight, and the ohms are right where they should be, but performance drops off real quik. I am using a copper nemmy, and wondering if a cleaning would help the voltage drop, which Im guessing is the issue here. Im using a tobh that has never given me a problem. Im going to throw this on the xxix and clean the nemmy, but what Im wondering is if maybe the atomizer is the problem. Please drop a comment and let be know what I might be doing wrong. Im not new to this, but Ive never really had to troubleshoot. Cleaning and rotating I suppose has protected me thus far

The 26g is working fine but the 28g would peter out after a few drags? Oversimplifying here but if a different coil on the same atty and mod works fine, then the problem isn't the atty or mod. Maybe try warming it up then tightening the coil screws ever so slightly while it's still warm?

Cleaning a mod is never a bad idea. Noalox or something similar could be helpful on threads with airspace in them... VD is a fickle beast as you already know. I don't bother with conductive paste on my copper mech but it can't hurt (unless it completes the circuit, sans button, of course).

Sorry, less than helpful post but good luck Ed. Hopefully someone with better intel will chime in.

I don't put anything on my mods, but I just stripped down my mod, alcohol and copper polish followed by cold water rinse. Have it on the xxix and its working fine right now. Maybe the polish is having a negative effect? seems to tarnish a lot faster now, and after 1 day I have patina, 3 days and its rose colored. Not thinking its the atty now. it was both coil setups that petered out. I just thought that I was losing connection with some wires with the parallel, then went to thicker wire and had the same problem. I think Im gonna grab a voltage meter tomorrow, I might just have a problem with cheap clones, although everything I own is Hcigar, or authentic. I may have gotten beat on this tobh though, the copper sleeve is slightly larger than 22mm and Hcigar just doesn't make mistakes like that.. Thanks for the help though, Im gonna use the xxix until it needs to be cleaned, then switch back. might be time to get the turtleship SS so I can have a worry free clean vape

Huh. I dont know what's up at this point. I don't have an all copper mod but I use Wright's Copper cream on my StingrayX (stainless outside with copper innards) and haven't had any trouble. The threads don't really tarnish though, just the outside. Clean copper contact is always best IMO. If the polish is all rinsed off you're as good as you can be. You've checked the coil screws after it peters out? I've had setups work fine at first then they turn to crap. One coil came loose enough to not work 100%. Expansion and contraction seems like a real issue with these kinds of heat levels and tiny screws. I check my screws pretty regularly.

Switching to a Stainless mod just endures you have VD all the time haha.

Sometimes the TOBH middle post with all the insulators melt. Try taking the middle post out and checking to make sure all the littlethings are intacted.

Happened to me last month, I was sub-ohming with the TOBH for about a month. Switched to a different mod and was not firing. Didn't know why until I cjecked my other TOBH and the 510 pin was pushed all the way in the atty. Took it apart and my insulator was broke in half and a little melted. Grabbed the other parts from the other TOBH and it's back up and running :)
