I tried this setup before, the problem with this build is that airflow is restricted, Hard DRAW is REAL! LoL. This setup will be nice for the first 20-30 puffs or so but then i keep getting dry hits for some reason even after i wicked the cotton to leave room for juice to wet the cotton. IMO the RBA's wick whole is not big enough to feed juice to the coils fast enough before you start puffin again. Also with builds like this the coils gets hot faster so even after u let go the fire button the juice still cooks a little. But the clouds and flavor from this build is great! But i still couldnt solve the dry hitting. So i moved on a different way of building.
noted.. how about increasing the wick hole? *wink* with a hand drill. HAHAHA. if I got chance I go try out and update u.

Bro i am doing it now wahahahaha... But i still dont prefer dual coiling like that because it obstructs the middle air hole. I am planning to drill the wick hole and the air holes below the rba.. So drilling them side to side for wider gaps. Then we will see what happens!

I agree the draw is too restrictive for my tastes I am a RDA kinda guy at home for flavor and draw but I run triton tanks when I'm out on the go. She seems to really like it however. She was going to go buy another tank because she was unhappy with the vapour production from the .5 OCC coils so I got her to bring me the RDA deck as I knew I could build a dual coil low enough to max out her Kbox mini. She only runs it at 45 watts as 50 is too much heat for her.

I think you could definitely drill out the juice holes with success. Lots of other tank coils have way bigger holes for wicking. If you went too big and it was flooding you could just pack the cotton tighter against them. How is flavor with the coils spaced away from the air feed compared to the restrictive setup we have both built? I know from my RDA builds that the coils definitely benefit from being in the air stream.

For RDA's we definitely need the coils over the air stream or u will just get a really dense harsh draw. But its hard for me to explain lol. With this build, dual coils away from the airstreams however it is not as harsh as i expected it to be. The flavor just bursts out more and more. The twisted coil build i did in the previous pic i forgot to mention that it pops alot and mild spitting. So i thought i went back with single spaced dual coil, but parallel tied like my first pics. That however i wrapped 8 times and used matt's idea to space out the two coil much further away from each other so that they are close to the wall leaving the middle air hole 100% unobstructed. So no warm draws and no harshness. However i am still not satisfied because the clouds are as much the same as the first single spaced dual parallel tied i made. However the flavor, OMG just bursts out! Tastes much much more pronounced! If u try this with lets say a sourish taste juice, the sourness pops out to be much more distinct. If you have a sweeter version vape? More sweeter! If you have a fruity juice? Much much much more fruity! Somehow this build made the flavors becomes more pronounced somehow i could not explain until you try it yourself. The only thing now with 28g nichrome, 8wraps, 2.00mm diameter, 0.50ohms, 45watts 4.79v, about 10A, i regret only one thing, the clouds are not as dense as i hoped it would be. The density of the clouds almost as the .5 occ. another drawback with this build is the tank starts to warm up about 13-15 puffs. But no warm draws. My upper top mod around the 510 starts to warm up after 25-30 puffs or so. At that time i start to check the battery, the battery is cool. Its just the tank is warming up. Then i rest for a while, when it cools i start puffin again. Also, it drinks up ur junk lol. I filled this up about 6 hours back, now its about at 50% wick hole level (covering the wick hole by half). But then i vape like a chimney too. Overall, i guess IMO you PEOPLE should try it lol. If you have a decent mod that atleast could kick a constant 30-40A and can support high wattages, try it. The flavor is amazing. Just remember to be patient and atleast buy a mini torch, where i am from it costs just about $1. Alot of torching, alot of bending and adjusting.

This .... is not for the faint hearted lol.

This is how I coil and wick my friends STM. 6 wraps 26awg kanthal 2mm ID resistance is .25 ish. She can vape it at 50 watts with no dry hits, lots of flavour. The key to wicking the STM is to leave a little air space right at the juice holes to allow juice into the RTA section. If the cotton is tight you will get dry hits. If you leave too much space you will flood the coil. It takes a little experimenting to get it right but it can be done.
wow that is sweet
