I just want to make sure I understand something correctly. All this time I had been thinking Parallel had more battery life than Series because Parallel doubles battery mAh. But using Steam Engine, it seems Series will actually give you much more battery life if you build higher ohm for 8.4v. Here are some snapshots from Steam Engine that brought me to that conclusion but I want to make sure I input the correct values and didn't leave anything out.

I bring this up because I was going to pass on the Noisy Cricket since a preferred Parallel. I wanted the battery extra battery life not the extra voltage. Now, I'm realiznig I would actually get more battery life with a Series connection. Also, is there a formula for figuring what ohm I should build for 8.4v if I want to match the vapor prodution of X ohms at 4.2v? Does mass of the coil play a part at all with battery life? What about ramp up time, or will double the voltage negate that? If I understand correctly, I'm going to pull the trigger on a Noisy Cricket...I made this same exact post on FT so sorry if anyone had to read it twice.

That looks about right to me. One just needs to be extra careful with a series mech not to go too low in resistance, due to the increased voltage. Coil mass will affect the power consumption in that more coil mass will take more power to heat up. Check the heat flux and heat capacity in the S-E coil calculator. You'll want to use thinner wire.
