The hubby took me to see Paranormal Activity tonight. It was a pretty good movie.
It was filmed Blair Witch style and is about a couple that is being haunted by a demonic presence. The activity mainly happens at night while they are trying to sleep, and with every passing night a little more happens, drawing you further and further into the movie until the climax at the end that you'll never see coming.
It builds to a huge scare and the whole theater reacts to it...it's great. The paranormal effects look very real, as if you were watching the evidence from Ghost Hunters or Ghost Adventures...it does not look "movie" at all. I recommed seeing it.

I didn't care for it. It's Okay, but doesn't seem to live up to the hype.... Just my opinion.

Not every movie is for everyone and that's okay. I love the paranormal and thought it was a really good movie for the amount of money they spent making it and the amount of time it took to film. It may not appeal to some people who don't care for the "hand-held" camera filming or movies about hauntings...but I liked it. I jumped about 3 feet outta my seat :p, so did the rest of the theater. Of course, my hubby's reaction was more of "ehhh, it was okay".

Ive seen both versions, theater and screener and enjoyed this movie. And I'm really not a fan of horror, I tend to find it silly. I actually preferred the screener ending, it seemed less "Hollywood" and more, without giving away too much, Final I guess. Anyway, I would recommend it.

To those not minding spoilers and want to know the ending, Id suggest imdb.com and look up Paranormal Activity, the two endings are discussed in the message boards.
