I don't use a pass-thru simply because I don't have the need. But there are basically two type of pass-thru.

One has a battery and one doesn't. The one with the battery you can vape while connected to the charging cable while at your desk and then disconnect it and take it on the go with you. It's not a 'true' pass-thru as you are really using the battery power and your USB cable is charging the battery as you vape.

The other doesn't have a battery and won't work unless you have it plugged in.

Of course the one with the battery is much more versatile but comes with a slightly higher price.

As for decent ones, I will have to defer to the more experience vapers with this type of device. I've often thought I should buy one as a backup to my backup to my backups - so I'll be watching for recommendations.

I'm surprised that no-one has chimed in. I know a lot of members use passthrus.

I found a couple of other threads about passthrus neogen.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/443447-would-someone-kind-enough-recommend-high-quality-usb-passthru-me.html

And this thread for suppliers for Joytech passthrus.
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/423378-reputable-online-us-vendor-sells-joye-joytech-passthrough-batteries.html

Seems they are a dying breed around these parts. Anyone else?

Well seeing as you might prefer the battery option, there is a great battery called the iTaste VV 3.0 that has a micro USB charger that can be used as a passthru.
Let me find the resident expert on that battery, I know he uses them and loves them. I'll ask him to chime in here.

I have the iTaste MVP and love it. Have only used it in pass-through mode a couple of times because it's a 2600mah battery. Doesn't need to be charged very often.

If you dont want the box style of the mvp take a look at the "itase vv/vw 3.0" I just picked one up and i like it more than my mvp to tell you the truth. :2c:

I've been looking into this as well. I don't mind the box mod because I work from home. Just plop it down next to my laptop and vape away all day long. When I'm out and about I still use my eGo C upgrade or eGo Twist.
