Can you use a 510 5volt PT with a LR atty? if not then why?

The power draw is to high. I just got a 5v boxmod from Ken's Box Mods. When I put an LR attie on it got real hot, then ....nothing, another "standard" atty would just cause it to reset its self. Seems that anything over 2.5 ohms works. it is really all about the watts, see the attached file I found linked on ECF. (source credit??)

LR atties are for 3.7 only...5v/6v kills them.........

Get an adapter USB/AC wall plug from them as well - they are really useful for the higher voltage 5v PT.

i got the 5v PT at madvapes the usb wall plug is great. i also got the usb car adapter great for driving with the PT
