I haven't personally used any 5v devices, but do use 3.7v and 6v. You might have to order a higher resistance atty to get good results. I can't use standard atty's at 6v or it heats up too quickly and burns my juice. At 6v I have to use 3.5 ohm atty's, at 5v you'll probably have to use something in the range of 3.2 to 3.5 ohms to get good results. There's no need to go to a different threading unless you just want to.
