if I make my attys at 2.0 and buy a pass thru..do I need to find what voltage # to use? This is confusing to me but since I'm at my computer a lot it would save my rechargeable batteries..wouldn't it?

Are you buying a battery with passthrough capability or a power passthrough?

Passthroughs are great. Unless you get a variable voltage one, I think they operate at 5.0 volts. Not sure about that though.

a pass thru without a battery is good. runs at 5 volts and gives a good amount of vapour. the ones with the batteries probably won't last as long and don't produce as much vapor . you could make your own for next to nothing all you need is an old battery and a usb cable.

I ordered one that has variable voltage. I think my attys make where I put the voltage at different. I don't want too low of a resistance on my atty because it might make me cough. 2.0 seems OK.

Might want to consider the Saber Touch Pass Thru, power it direct from an outlet, different voltages and VV to choose from. Just an idea.

I have one of these. Because I keep getting it caught when I get up from my laptop I added a little black electrical tape to secure it better. It works like a charm. The only thing I can say is it is 4 clicks to change voltage and the colors for voltage are not what it shows on the package..not a very big deal. I would like to get another one for my van. I did test it out and the cord does reach.

I own one of these as well. It's really nice. Easy to change the voltage on. And does wounders for vapor production on my Mini Davide.

I went and bought a cigarette lighter/USB adapter so I can use it in the car. If you want to do this as well just make sure the adapter puts out 2.0 amps + or the passthrough won't get enough juice to fire.

I find that the pas thru that you plug in works great the one with battery don't last long then will not charge after 5 weeks but that was the one I had maybe others work better

I had an 808d passthrough which probably operated at 5 volts (which is I believe what the USB port outputs). Tons of vapor. Although some juices tasted a bit "crispy"/"toasty".

from FastTech. I have only been using it for 2 days but so far it works great. My Toshiba laptop will power it and it works but you can really tell the difference when you use the 2.4 amp wall charger. For use with a laptop the length of the cord is fine. I have to use an extension to use it with the wall charger.
