Passionate babbler...

I guess until I get my desktop up and running again and get off this tap talk app I'll start blog posts, for now if it's ok and if this is the right section for random crap, I'll do my babbling here. I follow the why say it in a few words when I can write a short story methodology... lol.

In a short time I've become passionate about vaping, diy mixing, modding.. everything that this forum is loaded with...

I use an eRoll cause I was a long time chain smoker of cigs and a lot of the experience is the feel of a cig in my hand, the weight... I guess what keeps pepper smoking is different for everybody and is usually a combination of several things both habitual and addictive aspects. I kicked the habit with the first cheap ecig kit I bought though, which is amazing, cause nobody else I know in person that vapes has given up cigs completely. I think I went into it with the right mind set and addressed and little dissatisfaction I had by researching online and adjusting myself.

I went into the convenient store to buy a carton of cigs and they had this el cheapo kit behind some glass.. I was curious but didn't have enough money for both so I told myself if I got it I wouldn't be smoking.. I took a chance.. took that first puff(mind you this wasn't the best tasting or functioning setup) but it literally made me giggle like s school girl a little cause it felt just like smoking.. I haven't touched a cig in over 6 months now I think.. except a puff off one s while back to see how different it would feel now and honestly I don't miss the smell or the taste of that one tiny bit. I've grown by trying different devices and reading up online and mixing my own, making wicks out of mesh.. I like that I know exactly what goes in this stuff and I love that I can make a cloud 10 times thicker than a cigarette with my little eRoll. It's a great conversation piece too..people are really open to the idea.. most anyway and frequently express interest.

Vaping feels like it had more to offer me and has a much richer experience than smoking ever did. So to be fair it's not helping me kick the nic. I cut down on it in my mix because I was calling a lot and killing my throat at first.. cut it too much and found myself making up for lack of nic by Vaping more.. So I just bumped up to a good middle point. Around 9 to 11 mg seems to do right for me now. I get satisfied and manage to stop from time to time but I don't get screwed up by Vaping a lot at times either.

I relate to a lot of this post. I feel like vaping has lots more to offer as well; it can be a fun hobby, it's a conversation starter, I get to taste flavors, and I don't feel bad about myself after I do it. I too had to cut back on the nic b/c higher is too harsh for me, I vape 9mg now and it's perfect. Now that I find myself chain vaping I'll have to get some 0 nic as well, but right now I need to come up with a monthly vaping budget so I don't go too crazy haha. It's nice to chain vape and still wake up with your lungs feeling good!! It's fun to convert people at work as well, I like to feel happy for other people too!

I've become quite the chain vaper, but I found lowering nic too much made it worse for me. I was down to about 6mg average.. some with more some less, but I was puffing away twice as much... I guess to get that nic fix, I dunno.. funny starting off the 18mg stuff barely had enough hit, but now I find hit right around 9-12 mg..
I think the idea of throat hit most people have is different than mine. High nic hit is actually harsher feeling to me than what smoking hit feels like.. hard to compare them really. Smoking to me was more of a full heavy feeling in chest, lungs and mouth, so my goal with mixing has been to achieve more of that. Really just to add as much feeling to inhale, exhale, nasal in and out, in mouth feel... just more feeling.. doesn't matter if its comparable to smoking much, its just vaping is so mellow in comparison.. the exhale is what I'm working on most... it needs a bit more feeling., I got another post asking if other people Vape in the dark, cause I feel like I have to see the vapor coming out as part of making exhale more satisfying.

I'm learning a lot of neat tricks with mixing my own lquid that each add a bit more feel to some aspect of the vapor... that being said I haven't got a single recipe that's been good enough to make over and over yet... its fun learning and trying things though. Sadly when I dump parts of recipes together... random amounts.. I call it suicide mix.. then touch up with a bit of this and that, I come up with some darn good liquid... but the nature of that method makes it impossible to repeat.. lol.

I also think tobacco flavors are kind of a funky concept, though i use them, cause I'm not entirely sure you actually taste much tobacco when smoking.. not the same way anyway.. I do like the sweet notes from vaping and the nice smells... so I just shoot for mostly abstract sort of flavors that are mellow bits of different tobacco with maybe caramel and other subtle notes. The rest is all about thick vapor and as many different sensations as possible.

Don't worry too much about nic, a doctor told me nic isn't really any more harmful of a stimulant than caffeine, its just the other delivery mechanisms that are so horrible.. especially when it involves combustion of tobacco along with who really even knows what all other chemicals are in there...

For a nice low/no nic treat though, I mix 2 drops fa Honey, 3 drops lemon, 2 drops vinegar in 5 ml of no nic base.. I call it honey lemon soother, a touch of menthol is good in that too, like a honey lemon cough drop.. feels nice on the throat. Good chain vape

I have a hard time converting people... most Vale and still smoke... I try to tell them that the whole experience is customizable and that whatever they don't like about vaping can probably be fixed with a change in liquid, or gear... I also notice that about half of smokers seem to feel vapor a bit different than we do, I think it depends on how people smoke. My mom takes tiny puffs, barely inhales, but she does a lot of them, hitting even my weakest liquid, if she pulls long enough to get the coil vaporizing, she coughs almost to point of vomiting... lol... a lot of other people try one ecig with one flavor and strength and assume they just don't like vaping based on that. That's like eating one steak at one restaurant and deciding you don't like steak...never consider cut of meat, seasoning, cooking style...
