I was wondering what the average life of a PT is. I sure love mine and was wondering if I should get a backup one, just in case.

i have had mine for at least 8mths and it is going strong, however my wife tends to kill them in about 3 mths. my opnion is ALWAYS have a back up. better to have it and not need it than need itand not have it

Well back 10 months ago when the pt's were not made as good it was hit and miss but now with the new design with the cords i haven't had any problems with them....but not a bad idea to have backup of everything imo.
