I have a pt from V4L which I assume is an 808. From what I understand, they are 5V, and so you get a better vape. I like the pt, but I have not been using it much lately. They are great for sitting at a computer or driving. Some folks caution not to plug into the computer but to use a wall adapter instead. I have never had a problem with the computer, but I don't leave it plugged in when I am not around. They are inexpensive and worth a try.

Best wishes!

All PTs are not the same. Some are 5v or whatever comes from your source (usually around 5.2v). Some are regulated to 3.7V (the ones I order from heaven-gifts are regulated). They still give a great vape due to the amperage they are using. They are all great and I would not be without one. Some vapers have better luck than me but my 510 and 901 atties burned up quickly (a few minutes to a couple of weeks). My 808 cartos worked well but quickly developed a burned taste. I ordered some 801 atties from value vaper and they work well and seem to last forever. Well that's my 2 cents and before someone wastes their time telling me how to use the 510, 901, or 808 at 5v I really don't care. The 801s work fine.

Thank you both for your 2 cents. I didn't want to get a certain pt to use as a test drive if it wasn't gonna compare to the regular e-cig of the same model....make sense?

LOL..ok...I was thinking about getting a .....say 901 pt to try and if I liked it I would get a whole 901 kit.

Shopping for my mom, and I don't really wanna spend 50, 60, 70 bucks on a kit if she isn't gonna like it, so I thought maybe a pt for her to try out and if she liked it get the kit:) At the same time, I don't want her to like the pt....so I get the kit and she hates it cause it is nothing like the pt......I hope that makes more sense...

Your right. That game plan will not work. If you get a PT and like it, there is no way I think that you would ever be satisfied with any of the kits that look like analogs (probably have to go with an HV mod). If you get a pt and don't like it (too hot or harsh or not enough flavor) then you might like the cooler analog looking kits.
