Absolutely love my Penelope. The only issue I have is when I go to fill it I'll close off the flavor control and take the cap off and fill it. Once filled I always have to blow it out because its flooded. After that there never seems to be an issue. Just curious if this is the intended behavior or am I doing something wrong?
Again...this isn't really a problem. It just makes it a pain to top off while its on my provari and thought maybe im doing something wrong.

Not having that problem that often.
My problem is the o-ring in the top cap seems too big. I can't tighten it too much otherwise i can't even turn the mouth piece. The way i usually have it there is about a mm gap between cap and tank. I think it needs a thinner oring.

Do any of you have simular problem?

sgerhrking don't worry thats normal. It will get easier as time passes. That has been reported by a lot of members but this size of oring was necessary in order not to have a cap like ody.

As far as the flooding thing what i have always been doing is close the flow completely, remove the top cap, close the flow again in case it turns along with the cap, then fill and i never-ever had a flooding problem.
If you already do that you have some other kind of problem.

Maybe too thin wick?
Maybe you have put the oring in the pole wrong?
Maybe you don't tighten well the rebuildable part?

I was having an issue with this as well and suddenly it just went away. I can't tell you exactly what fixed it but one of two things happend around the same time:

1) I started using double and triple wick designs. This could prevent minor flooding as having a double or triple wick at the top will allow it to hold so much more juice. It's also a very good vape experience.

2) I read Imeo's post about the same time and started closing the top cap very very slowly.

One of those two things solved the flooding issue completely in all of my Penelope's when refilling.

Comp check that the small cap that is inside the ceramic it tightened. If that screw is slightly loose when you screw on the top cap it will force out juice due to the pressure and then will stop leaking until you refill it again.

I have tightened that screw when I rebuilt my coil. Should I tighten it in between?

I have been using nothing but double and triple wicks. Actually my triple worked just not as good as I had hoped so I have to practice with it more.
I have been doing the cap slowly.

Oh another thing...try trimming the wick where the channels end. I never let any of the two sides make it to the oring or even the nut. ;)
If even one makes it to the oring it could drive some eliquid under it which means...on the pole and outside...

Which 'nut' do you mean. I put the wick in the channels and then put the nut on to hold the wicks in place. Should I cut the wicks at the bottom of the channels or let them go I to the cap a bit when I tighten it down. I've seen it done both ways.

I got my 2nd Penelope the other day and had this problem. Built everything up and filled the tank only to notice the juice just dripping out the bottom. It stopped after I put the top on but I had poor wicking. So I broke everything down and switched back to my other Penelope for now. Going to rebuild this one again and trim the wick a bit more, I think it was too long and this was causing the leaking. I doubt anything else could be the problem... Stupid mistake, I built it up in a rush!

I almost always get a couple drips leak out when I refill, even before I place the cap back on. Not a big deal though as I just drip it back into my bottle, then blow out the excess on a paper towel and I'm good to go.
I know it adds bulk, but personally I think the Ody double cap design is better because it eliminates the pressure flooding issue when screwing the cap back on.
