what size wick are you using? are you using the imeo approved wick? i found with the cheap wick from most sites that i would get gave a slight leak, but after buying the good wick from cov i have had zero problems and ive been building bishops dual coil for 6 months with no problems. im sure you have taken these measures, but make sure you screw down the rebuildable tight so the oring makes a seal. second, make sure the lock ring is secure. and make sure you have enough meat on your wick to fill the channel, not enough wick will allow juice to pass threw and might leak down center pin. at first i had problems with leaks and gurgling and it was user error, not to say your doing something wrong, but have faith, imeo will make sure your vaping penny properly

I'm using the 3mm wicks from CoV. As I've said before, everything is tight and secured, and I'm pretty sure all of the pieces are in their proper place. Right now I'm not having any flooding/gurgling issues but then again it's not burning super hot since the dual coil build is almost a week and a half old.

Just curious, at what wattage/voltage/ohms are you running?

That plastic washer between ceramic housing and the flange on center pin should be tight. I use needle nose pliers to turn center pin while holding ceramic housing. If this washer is loose then center pin could spin. Is center pin able to spin?

You may be able to compensate with two plastic washers or a o-ring under nut inside of ceramic.

On your next rebuild check center pin upper threads for burs and make sure center post top nut screws all the way down the threads. With just center pin and center post top nut ( no plastic washer or ceramic housing ) screw the top nut all the way down and measure the distance between the bottom of top nut and the flange on center pin. This is the area on the top half of the center pin without threads. This distance should be .125 or 1/8 inch. you can measure with a drill bit, allen key or calipers. If the distance is greater than stated then you need o-ring under center post top nut.

I use Bish's dual highlander setup at .8 with no flooding issues on Penny. My only issue is a slightly bent mouthpiece which makes juice adjustments harder than it should be to turn. I like Penny but haven't used much since Ithaka.

Here is a video where Imeo shows rebuildable part in detail. Assembling GG Odysseus's rebuildable part - YouTube

Everything should be correct, except I do not have o-rings inside of the ceramic like the Odysseus shown in the video. The center post doesn't spin after it is tightened. The leakage is coming through the center post hole, which I came to confirm.

I decided to rebuild my Penelope today and also installed a small 3-4mm long wick next to the center post nut and the coil, but this wick doesn't touch the center pin hole. I did this to redirect any liquid from going into the center pin hole, hopefully it will work.

Update : It started to flood through the center pin again, even with the extra wick on the side. I was checking out some videos on the Kanger Evods and noticed that they placed another wick or two on top of the coils to supposedly help with flooding issues. I will try this when I rebuild the Penelope again.

Edit : Actually, I don't think adding an extra wick or two will help at all. I believe the problem may lie in the wick material itself. I have so many e-cig related orders/shipments that I thought these wicks were from CoV but instead they are from OKCvapes, and it was pretty cheap too. I don't think these 3mm wicks from OKCvapes can retain liquid very well, hence the reason why it is dripping liquid into the centerpin causing flooding. To verify this, I will do some testing on the wick to see if this is the case. If this is the problem, I will order some 3mm wicks from another vendor that has quality silica wicks.

Some insight and/or suggestions from Bishop or Imeo would be lovely.

hi bud sorry for my late reply what size wicks are u using and how many pieces are in the side channel?

No problem. I'm using the 3mm silica wicks from OKCvapes and the size is perfect... but the material might not be up to par. The first dual coil build I used had a 3.5mm silica wick from silicawicks.com, took 2 strands out of it, and I never had any flooding problems with it.

This silica wick from OKCvapes is very cheap in price but not too sure on the quality of it. I believe it is the silica wick causing the flooding problems I'm getting, it is not able to hold the liquids in place at high temperatures.

Ok Doke what about the channels? when screwing the ceramic ring do you feel it snugged rubbing against the wick as you screw it down tot base? if its a little to east then add some more wick to the channels see if that helps.

Yes, the ceramic ring (outer) rubs against the wick on both sides as I'm screwing it down. I just replaced my dual coil with a new one and I went back to the 3.5mm wick with 2 strands taken out. I'll let you know if I get any flooding.

Update : So after using the 3.5mm wick (2 strands removed) from Silicawicks.com as opposed to using the 3mm wick from OKCvapes.com, I can safely say that the flooding issue is most definitely caused by the wick quality. I remember using a 3mm wick from another vendor before, which was made in Germany, and I never had any flooding issues with it either. The only time I get flooding with the 3.5mm wick is when the juice level gets low, which is normal for me.

Not trying to bad mouth OKCvapes but their wicks cause constant flooding for me and I recommend my good friends on here to take precaution.
