I have a Kir Fanis tank stuck on Penny! I've tried soaking in warm water, wrapping with cloth and try to twist with pliers, tried twisting off from top as well.
Not budging! Managed to give tanks small hairline crack and my thumb an ugly blood blister is all. A friend willing to try, but that means shipping to VA from NJ which is no big deal, but before I do that, any suggestions?

I've not had her long and was just about completely in love and could manage if not for needing to clean out for new juice.

...mine get stuck but i use the metal tanks so i just wrap a piece of leather around under the pliers and get it that way

Funny, I like the metal tank much better, but thought I'd give the clear a go, much to my regret. Will try the fridge, thanks Imeo! Long Haul, will keep your trick in mind should my original tank ever get stuck, god forbid!

Try using latex gloves--they give an awesome amount of grip.

I use those flat rubber jar lid gripper pads. I cut one in half to get my penny apart. try one of those in combination with the refrigerator.

I use a fat rubber band as a strap wrench around the metal base ... never a problem taking off any Kir Fanis tank from any of my Pennys ...

Be very careful, I had one shatter on me trying to take it off and small pieces went everywhere. They could possibly fly into your eye!

I use gloves from pharmacy. They give an exellent grip and they are very cheap too. 5 euros for 100 of them. Be sure to ask for no slippery gloves

I always use vaseline on threads.
It is easier to tighten and loosen.
And it extends the life of the o-rings.

For stubborn to remove gg atty tank to base, I stick a strip of 3m grip tape on both tank and base before twisting. Easy to remove after.

Tried jar gripper as well, a while back, BUT. . . SUCCESS. Fridge and jar gripper did the trick!!!
