I am a teacher too....

Oh, teachers are okay I guess. Back when I was in school I got to visit with some of the same ones for two or three years in a row. I remember old Ms. Bell (her boobies were right at her belt line) and keep in mind this was back in 1946 ... I think that was a teachers fashion back then ... anyhow, we were singing Columbia The Gem Of The Ocean and she threw her music book at me. She THREW the music book at me! Can you imagine?

Then there was Mrs. Squark the Art teacher. She let all the other kids use all kinds of fancy stuff to make things with and gave me crayons.

Then there was some guy, I can't remember his name, but he was the Math teacher. Now this guy expected me to add, subtract, multiply AND divide! Can you imagine? I could have probably done one of them and did real good, but four things ... well that was a little too much.

But it wasn't all bad. I was the only kid in Grade School with a permit to park my car and by ninth grade I was old enough to drink legally.

The strange part is that I ended up being a great success in the business world and I owe it all to my teachers. I LOVE them!

TT you're funny! I had a teacher throw a book at me once too...But that was in motorcycle class, and I'd popped a wheelie (by accident of course)... I think he almost had a heart attack!
(yes, my very progressive public school had a motorcycle class in 1977)...
(and..FYI I got a D in the class, but it was worth it cuz there were only 2 of us girls and 20 boys!)

Well, I guess my voice was that bad. I think I was in Third Grade when that happened (true story). And my description of Ms. Bell is accurate too.

And I have the greatest respect for teachers. But I think you already knew that.

So she really threw a book at you! Wow! If a teacher did that now, he/she would be in so much trouble. So she had boobies down to her waist? That's awful! How old was she? Regardless, I'm sure that the selection of bras back then was terrible. Also, you mentioned that she was called Ms. rather than Mrs. I wonder if she was a miserable single female?

I hope he didn't throw the book at you while you were on a motorcycle!

So worth it to get a D; I'm sure you met many cute boys. :)

Haaa No it didn't hit me, but I saw it hit the ground. The bikes were so loud that that was probably the only way he could get my attention! I had shifted gears wrong, (no one explained the clutch system to me!)..He was an awesome teacher actually, but I think it scared the sh*& out of him, and throwing the book was a reflex. Honestly, he was clutching his chest & breathing heavy when he chewed me out...and put me on a stationary motorcycle unit to practice smooth shifting for the next several classes...

A stationary motorcycle!Now there's a great idea!
My wife won't allow me to have a bike any more. She says I'm too old. Can you believe that?
But a stationary motorcycle ... now she couldn't complain about that!TT

:laugh:Oh, it was really "safe". I believe they'd put a couple cinder blocks & 2x4's together to make a funky learnin' station.
I'm sure there'd be lawsuits for that now...but back in the 70's - no one cared if a few teenagers were destroyed by
faulty equipment at school!

stationary is probably a good thing at are age T! You got a couple of years on me...but them damn movin sidewalk thingies at the airport give me fits now a days!

SC

LOL, I swear this is true. Saw it with my own eyes.

I was in an airport ... I think it was Schipol in Amsterdam and this real, real old guy - probably about three or four years younger than SecondChance, was on a moving sidewalk and when he got to the end of it he just fell over. He was more startled than anything else and didn't have any injury thank goodness. But I've often wondered about what he expected to happen when he got to the end of that thing.

LOL! That's prob a good idea! My bf got me another bottle but he didn't get the same kind I got with the extra flavor so it kinda tastes like ..umm...greens. Maybe I just got a bad batch? It happens....

lunachan, let this new juice steep for a week to ten days and I'm sure you'll like it better. Take both caps off, leave it to the open air someplace away from little hands and.or paws, and then put the cap back on and give it a shake from time to time.

Works every time!
