I checked V2 and you're right - they're pretty pricey. But I might try them out.

I was using Velvet Vapor's peppermint (non-organic), which I loved because it has that strong "cold blast" you talk about, but without any menthol flavor at all. It's also a tad pricey, but not as bad as V2's price, and actually very reasonable if you buy large quantities. Unfortunately they've been having problems from their peppermint flavor supplier. You might want to check with them and see if they have any of the "very light yellow colored" peppermint. Do not order it if they only have the darker orange color: it has a good 'kick' but also has a strange, slightly sweet fruit flavor to it - unless of course you like fruity flavors. Their organic peppermint doesn't have anywhere near the same "cold blast" as the original non-organic.
I tried Tasty Vapor's peppermint, but it has a fairly strong tobacco flavor to it, which doesn't appeal to me. Also a bit harsh.

I was thinking of trying the V4L peppermint. If you've tried it, please let me know what you think of it.

Haven't tried V4L peppermint yet. Gotvapes menthol has an awesome cold hit, but they're out of stock right now. I don't prefer menthol, but it's the closest think to that cold hit that I've tried. I've also tried mountain vapors pepp, which was way to chemically tasting. I am so satisfied with V2's that I might just bight the bullet and have it as a standby. I don't vape peppermint exclusively, but when I do, I know what I want.

Also tried halo's menthol ice. It's "nice", but that's about it, nothing special to me. I vape halo's tribeca ALL day, so I may give their other menthols a try. Like I said though, not a menthol smoker. I just like the sensation every once in a while.

Trying virgin vapors pepp again as we speak. Really nice flavor, reminds me of V2 peppermint, but DANGIT!!! It doesn't have that cold rush. I'm tired of spending money trying/sampling juices. Sometimes I think I should just buy what I know is good, even though it's more expensive.

I tried the Halo's menthols, but I finally figured out I don't really like any menthol flavoring.
In fact, I think what I'm after is something with the "cold blast" without any flavor at all :)

Does the V2 have any menthol taste to it ?

You may want to try BMV's Smooth flavor. To me it has just the slightest honey or honey suckle taste but very subtle. It has a very "cold blast" feel to it, both on the initial draw and the finish, imo at least.

Not in the traditional sense. It's really just peppermint. I'm not sure what "menthol" even tastes like if I were asked to describe it, but I certainly wouldn't classify V2 peppermint as a menthol, even though both flavors are 'minty' I guess. I let a friend try V2's, and he said, wow - peppermint, huh? That's nice....

Another friend of mine tried halo menthol ice and said "What is that, vicks or something?". So that pretty much sums it up I guess. Menthol is that familiar 'vicks' type smell (probably not as bad though - vicks is mediciney), and V2 is really a straight peppermint flavor. I've seen some reviews though that said V2 tasted like mouthwash. I can see their point, only because I've tasted some mouthwash that was clearly peppermint flavored.

To each his own :2cool:

I'm more about the sensation than flavor, but give me both and WOW. V2 so far has delivered both.

I've tried about 3 pepprmints from different vendors, and NONE of them had a cold rush sensation. I thought that was an inherent property of peppermint flavored e juice, but apparently not (only because V2 was the first I tried). I thought, hey - I'll just get a different vendors pepp juice and save some money. Tried that a few times and was disappointed. BTW, V2's shipping is OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive, making it even more frustrating. I'll slowly get around to trying others, but it'll be a slow process. I've spent so much money on all this stuff the past 4 months.

Carbon - thanks, I might give it a try. Though I tend to shy away from sweet flavors.

Me too on the sensation over flavor.
I like the taste of mouthwash, so maybe the V2 is the way to go :). I'm getting close trying it out.

I've also got quite a collection of peppermints and menthols that are just sitting in a box.

- Regards & thanks for the feedback.
