Thanks Engraced!!!

This was just what I needed today to remind me of the cost savings of DIY and it will help me stick with my DIY efforts.... which end up costing about 5 cents per mil. HUGE savings over vendor prices.

Haha! Happy to help! I do a combination of DIY and vendor-buying, just depends on how I'm feeling that particular moment.

First off, thank you for all the time you put into this. But shipping costs vary so widely, some charge $2 some $5, and that can really skew these prices a LOT, depending on how much you order.

More than welcome! Shipping definitely makes a difference, but it's so variable depending on your location and the shipping method itself, which is why I couldn't include it.

My only excuse for this kind of debauchery is that I've worked as an analyst for nearly all of my adult life. Excel is my vice.

I was putting together a list of eliquid vendors that I was recommended by a real, live person with a break down of the per ML cost of their eliquid for a friend and I. I figured I'd share :)

I was going to organize them by size, but there were 19 different sizes...and that made my brain hurt.

    NOTE:

    - These are only US vendors (I'm totally being selfish here)
    - Includes any non-expiring coupon codes.
    - If a vendor had different prices for different juice lines, those are listed in separate rows.
    - Prices are based on non-sale, no coupon prices.
    - Virgin Vapor went by ounces, so I converted to MLs and went with standard rounding.
    - None of the prices include shipping.
    - Includes whether or not the vendor charges for extra flavor (if nothing listed, either they don't offer it or I didn't see it). If extra flavor varied by bottle size, it just says 'yes'.
    - I can't vouch for any of these vendors, there have only been a handful of them that I've personally ordered from, but like I said, the others were recommended by real people. That's not to say that just because a vendor isn't listed means they aren't any good, it just means no one I know recommended them.

Ahlusion and Backwoods Brew were closed today, so those will be filled in when they re-open. :)

Yes and no, I'm 26, but I've been working with Excel/Access and a variety of other business-related bits of software since I was 17. I'm one of those obnoxiously analytical people. To the degree, that I've been tracking housing prices vs average salary for someone in my field in small, medium, and large size companies for the past 5 years in 13 different cities to try figure out where I'll have the highest standard of living once I graduate.

    It's a disease, I tell ya.

Hopefully not any city in California... Cost of living here is damn pricey...

I'm just OCD. I have a spreadsheet, too. Mine is based on a 10 ml unit cost because that's the minimum I mix. I also have additional columns for different nicotine values (0mg, 6mg, 12mg, 18mg, 24mg). I also base my cost analysis on an 18% flavoring for DIY extracts (probably need to make this a variable since some require more or less flavor percentages). I also list my supply costs, but that really should be on another page.

If I can figure out how to share my spreadsheet, I will.

Engraced, I hope you're checking out some cities in Texas. You can buy a lot of house here for not a lot of money. And our economy has not had the roller coaster ride of most of the local economies on either coast. If you can deal with extreme heat for about 3 months, the weather is great the rest of the year. And no state income tax (although property taxes are expensive). There's a lot to like about Texas.

Plus, we can always use more smart industrious people here.

    I'm flattered, thank you!

I'm actually a Texan (it'll always be home), born and raised in Beeville (right smack between Corpus and San Antonio). Austin, San Antonio, and DFW are all on my list (and at the top of the list because I'm working on a point system and 'sentimentality' has a stronger weight on it than most of the other categories, cheesy, yes, but that's just how I roll). Though, if I could find a job in Victoria or Rockport, I'd live there in a heartbeat. I love the feel of those towns
