What causes perfume/Soap taste? I got it once from a rose so I don't buy floral, but today from a necterine flavor, was given to me from an x vaporer so I don't know how old it is. Any way to tell before I fill my tank, cuz they both smell great. Any Vetran Vapors here that can suggest an online store with awesome flavors and prices that this kind of thing doesn't happen? Apparently my favorites don't sell online, :-(

The most common reason for the perfumey taste is a vendor using too much flavoring. Once you get past the optimal amount of flavoring, adding more tends to lower the actual flavor of the vape and more than that tastes perfumey.

Awesome store without those flavors? Try Nicoticket for the good stuff and VapeWild for the less expensive but still not bad.

EDIT: Those are my two favorite juice vendors, but everybody's got different taste. The e-liquid section of ECF should give you LOTS of good recommendations.

Thank you both so much! Got 4 more surgeries to indure, online will be my only option. Is there anyway to steep it myself if I come across that again or is that a come and gone part of the process?

All I do to steep is place on my heat (floor vent) or in my glove box (if summer) for a few days to a couple weeks. I found the cream flavors taste better after some steeping.

You need a 510 atomiser and driptip so you can test new refills before filling a tank with them.

That vile perfumey aroma comes from a synthetic flavour called rhodinol, which was isolated from rose oil. It used to be added a lot to flavours like Camel tobacco in order to give an oriental tobacco top note - or that was the idea. Dekang started that trend by using it and then publishing the list of flavourings on the bottle, so others picked up on it, thinking it was a good idea.

I think it's disgusting, vile and putrid - but someone must like it or it would be long forgotten. For me, if a refill has the slightest hint of that in it, it makes me want to throw up.

General agreement with what's been said before, though a lot of times it can just mean your eliquid hasn't steeped long enough if it's very raw and has a lot of flavoring in it. If you're stuck needing to vape that isn't much help though -- searching through on ways of speeding up steep times might make those notes go away, though.
