Ejuice vendors and perfume taste

So, I got started and never looked back. Have had quite a time with quitter's cough though and thought maybe the fire & ice I fell in love with may be prolonging things. I ordered from another vendor and while the juice smells like it should, it tastes awful. Not sweet at all (all fruity and candy flavors) and on exhale tastes like soap or perfume. I just ordered some sample packs from original vendor, but now I am stuck with this disgusting stuff. Gross, so glad they weren't who I started with or I would have thrown my setup in the trash and gone back to sticks in two puffs...

Manufacturer of the ones that taste like perfume?

They put to much flavoring in. A common mistake, thinking more will be better.
Having started DIY I can honestly say in many cases less is more.

Pick up one bottle of unflavored e-liquid on the cheap. Same nic level as you now use. Try a 50/50 mix of the Fruit flavor and Non-flavored in a used bottle. Shake well and let sit for 24 hours.

You may be able to fix most of the juices yourself and Gain e-liquid.

If you can put them aside in a cool dark place for a couple weeks and try them again (once your new juice arrives). Some juice needs to steep. You could also try heating up a cup of water, putting the bottle in there and shaking it every so often, and repeat a couple of times. The other thing that has sometimes helped is leaving the cap off overnight. Good luck.

I've got 2 10 ml bottles of maraschino cherry I picked up at a B & M about 2 weeks ago at a closeout sale price of $2 each that could gag a maggot from the perfume smell and taste. They've been sitting open to steep since I got them and the perfume smell has mellowed a lot. Hopefully in a couple more weeks they'll be vapable.

Just curious, is it possible that the particular flavorings the vendor uses need to steep or "breathe" a bit before making juices with them...? Or do they just rush juice sales and pass the steep time onto the customer?

I'm thinking that this is just another problem that separates ordinary juice vendors from extraordinary ones.

I had four juices in my closet that have been steeping for well over a month and they still have that underlying perfumy taste. Although, not as strong anymore but still there, nonetheless. They are in the garbage now. I am beginning to lean toward not purchasing from any vendor that sells perfumey crap to there custs. just to score another sale. "Oh, just let it steep awhile..." Well, why in the hell didn't they say that before you bought it..? Or when they were tasting great at the vape bar?

I have ordered the same juice multiple times, sometimes it's perfect. Seems a little more steeped because the color is darker when I purchase it. Same nic levels. And then again, the same juice that is crystal clear and tastes like absolute perfumey S$iytrF until it steeps for a while. And the steep times will differ.

I think it's the flavorings, associated with certain vendors flavors that are "new" that are perfumey upon the arrival of a new batch.

I don't think all vendors have this problem, or at least reconcile the problem before they sell it.

I had some vendor juice back in the day that was made with tfa/tpa flavoring that always was perfumey. tried airing it out/steeping nothing helped, finally tossed it :(

It was the Vender, not the Manufacturer. I use many TFA/TPA flavors with decent success.

Small fact - Basic Fruit flavored liquids need only 24 hours to mature. Mixed fruit flavors 1 week tops.
Complex mixes - coffees, desserts, Tobacco flavors - up to 1 month

So don't expect a bad Cherry or Blueberry at 2 weeks to be good in a month and Never expect an RY4 to be perfect in the first week.

It's the flavorings vendors use. The "breathing" time gets passed on to the customer. Instead of taking care of the perfumy taste in the flavorings before they sell it, they just sell it as is and pass it on to the cust. I'd be willing to bet that the flavorings themselves could be "breathed" and rid of the perfume taste before it's even sold. Juices will still need to steep but there is a difference between breathing a juice and steeping a juice.
