I am about to take my 8 yr old daughter to the hospital for an influenza test. I am 99% sure she has it. I am wondering about putting a small bit of PG in the vaperizer when we get back and get her settled in her room. We don't have health ins so my husband and I will be winging it without the antiviral. I am wondering if a bit of pg in the air in her room would help kill some of the germs from her constant coughing and sneezing. I have had this stuff once a few years ago and it took two weeks to get over it because I thought I would be brave and try to save 85 bux on the antiviral. My best friend just got over it and I was so worried when she had it because she was so sick. My daughter is in the 1st day of symptoms so I hope she can take the meds and only have to suffer for a few days vrs weeks. I am curious what you all think about the PG

We just got home. The test was Positive for Influenza B. I think I will just add like a teaspoon into the vaporizer water and mix it up. I know PG has been used in hospital air flow systems in the past to kill germs. I just don't know how much to put in. I think I will put in about 1 teaspoon and hope for the best.
