PG flavourless nic liquid, why?

If it has no taste, there really isn't a difference.

With that said, yeah, we tend to like the clear-er ones, or, at least, I do.

I have used both and had no difference in the final mix, but I like working with the clear. Got some pink nic juice once and that was a bit odd, but it tasted fine.

(So use the tinted first, or I would...)

The discoloration is not from heat or light, it is from a reaction with air. Only nicotine that hasn't been exposed to air will remain clear, and it's not really indicative of the age, especially since nicotine doesn't go bad until well after the PG does. As the rest said, there's no real problem with coloration.
