PG = "grape-ish" taste?

Just got my first e-cigs a couple days ago, some 510's from Heavens-gifts. I got a handful of different juices but one thing that seems common between them is that there is mildly sweet, "flowery" taste... it's what I might have expected if I got grape-flavored e-juice, but they're all tobacco flavors - Marlboro, Camel, 555. The stock carts (Marlboro) have the same taste as well.

I'm wondering if this is the native flavor of the PG coming through, or if this might be the primer fluid so many people discuss. But most of those comments are how bad the primer fluid tastes... I'm not crazy about this taste but it's certainly not unpleasant.

Is there a native flavor to PG that will come through on most juices?

I do believe there is a taste to PG as every PG flavor I have tried has had a common taste to them. I couldn't idenitfy the actual taste but now that you mention it.... grape is close. It's kinda sweet but not a good sugary sweet. More of a sugar alternative chemical type sweet.

I mostly vape VG now and don't notice a common taste between my VG flavors. I still vape a couple PG flavors though and the common taste still abounds.

Anyone who has vaped straight PG want to chime in? Is there a taste to it?
