Thats interesting.. I know my wife gets bad headaches with PG.. even 50/50. she has to use 100% VG thinned with 10% distilled water.

No way to tell how your body with react to 80/20 or 50/50. Just have to try. If it still causes acne, then you ight have to go to VG... Are you sure its the PG.. never head of acne before..

Was the PG juice what you first starting vaping with? If so, it may not have been the PG, merely a coincidence. Many people have acne breakouts when they quit smoking. I had a small breakout for about a week after making the switch to vaping.

This is true.

I'm not saying it isn't the PG causing your acne, I can't know for sure....but...

So many people seem to have a little bit of PG hyperchondria. When something happens that is out of the ordinary they quickly assume, or are told that it is possibly the PG and they should switch to VG.

Maybe in some cases it's correct but it'd be far more likely that withdrawal from the other addictive components of cigarettes, the change in how the brain/body is absorbing the nicotine and the subsequent detox is IMO far more likely to be causing the strange and random symptoms.

The body and brain are undergoing intense stress in times like these and it's not too much of a stretch to think that this stress manifests physically.

For the sake of giving a complete picture...

When I quit smoking the first time I got pimples, heaps of them. I'd hardly had a pimple on my face in my life except those huge ones that like to appear on the tip of your nose on occasion. It was awful.

My digestive tract went haywire for about a week. I never knew what to expect next, or when.

And lastly I got aches and pains in all kinds of random places for about 3 weeks. Even my nuts hurt for a couple of days. :(

It was pretty awful but I knew it was the cigarettes doing it. When quitting with ecigs all I reallygot was a few aches and a general feeling of lethargy for a few weeks. That went away and now I feel great.

So yeah, it could be the PG, but its unlikely.

Just a heads up, been vaping 100% pg for 3 years. Around 6 weeks ago I developed acne and eczema-like lesions on my face, neck and other parts of my body. And I was itching like crazy! No change in my flavors, vendors, juice, etc.
No change in my soaps, detergent, etc. After reading some posts from others regarding pg sensitivity, I ordered some 100% vg and used it for two weeks straight.
ALL SYMPTOMS WENT AWAY! I switched back to my normal pg, guess what----my face/body starting itching and breaking out again!
I switched back to 100% vg and all symptoms cleared up again! It seems ridiculous after 3 years of vaping but that's what happened.
I have now added back some pg to my liquid, around 5-10% because the throat hit and flavor are soooooooooooooooo much better with the pg added and it seems like I can tolerate this small percentage.

I am using cartomizers and the vg does seem to shorten their lifespan but the crazy effect on my skin is not worth it. I am just shocked that this could occur after all this time vaping!:

I get wicked acne from PG. It took me several months to figure it out, because everyone kept telling me they were just "quit zits" from quitting smoking. But, I later discovered that that is impossible, since we are not actually going through nicotine withdrawals that would cause this. Vapers don't get "quit zits" unless they drop to zero nic. Also, I had found a VG juice that I liked, and the acne went away after a week or two.

I recently ordered a small bottle of a flavor that I like and asked for 10% PG just to see if that small amount would be okay. I vaped it now and then for a few days, and the acne came back with a vengeance. Back on VG-only now, acne gone.

So, the bad news is, you will probably have to give up PG to keep the zits away. The good news is, there are tons of amazing vendors who offer fantastic flavors in VG-only. Highbrow, Alien Visions, and Virgin Vapor are just a few. Get a small bottle of PGA to keep on hand, if you find that a juice you like is a little to thick for good carto performance, thin it out with a few drops of the PGA. Otherwise, I am a big proponent of dripping on atties rather than cartos - the flavor and vapor production is through the roof in comparison to cartos! And, it's really not that inconvenient, it only takes a few seconds to drip when you need, no more trouble than it was to grab a match and a cigarette before you made this smart move. ;-)

I also cut the pg in the hair products I am using to almost none. I am sure the combo of vaping it and putting it on my hair is contributing to the problem! Especially since I have rarely get a zit--- ever, even when I was a teen! Since this only started happening around
2 months ago, and I have been vaping for 3 years -- I was really shocked!
I thought my sensitivity would have shown up sooner.
I was so glad the vg helped, giving up vaping would really suck!

Just wanted others to know that apparently this can start up even after a long time of vaping!
