I have always purchased my juice from a local brick & mortor that uses good ingredients on a 50/50 PG/VG ratio. I am trying to eliminate PG to determine if it is causing me problems.

I discovered & tried Virgin Vapor who specializes in high quailty ingredients, organic flavors & 100% VG. The flavors and vapor are amazing & the juice is so easy to use in my Visions clearomizer & ViVi Nova.

I thought since my local shop FreedomSmoke USA would do 100 VG upon request I would give them a try...mistake 1. The juice is corn syrup thick & ridiculous. When I asked the what to use to thin (PGA, distilled water or ?) Their answer was USP Kosher PG was the only thing to use, they say thinning VG with alcohol or distilled water will kill mt atomizer but they have always told me to clean atomizers in alcohol. Really? :glare:

What should I use to thin this VG juice?

Virgin Vapor uses DW, I'm pretty sure. That's what I use. VG is totally water soluble, so water mixes quite well with it. :)

If you're trying to cut down on PG, adding PG sort of defeats the purpose. :) I don't use PG at all, and have no problem with my equipment, just don't use tap water, as it has minerals and stuff. Use DW (distilled water)

Orb Vapor also uses DW, and they are fantastic new all organic juice vendor who does 100% VG and the stuff is great. About to review a few I just got from there.

I also use distilled water. Not sure why MFS said otherwise. In fact, Mt. Baker Vapor offers their VG juice in 30% distilled water / 70% VG and they vape just fine. In my DIY, I use approx 1.5 drops per mL. Haven't had one problem with my equipment using this ratio.

I have heard some use pure grain alcohol (PGA - also known as everclear) or vodka. I've never tried this.

You can easily distill water yourself. Just take a heat proof container and sit it in a pot that is partially filled with water. Turn the burner on medium to low and put the lid on upside down. Put some ice cubes on the inverted lid. The steam will condense on the inverted lid and fall into the empty heat proof container. (I use a pyrex bowl) Just be careful, you don't want to do a full boil on the water, and you don't want to accidentally spill the melted ice into the bowl as you remove the lid.

I use Mt. Baker's unflavored 70% vg 30% dw to thin some thick juices I have. Suggestion, go over there and buy there smallest size juice in whatever flavor you like and see if you like the consistency. I think its 4.50 or 5.00 for 10mls. On second thought, their 250ml unflavored is such a good price you might want to just go with it. It hasn't hurt my attys.

Thanks all....That's what I ending up doing to FSUSA's juice....distilled water & I warmed it a bit under the tap. Works much better...what a waste of money. Their my local shop, been doing my business there for 10 months now felt obliged to give them a try on my VG quest.

My Virgin Vapor shipment due in the mail today....I'll be vaping happily later this afternoon :)

I'll take a peek at Mt. Baker's web too.

Use food grade PG. You can get it at target or walgreens for $3/120 ml.

I couldn't find the PG on either of the stores web sites. But, pharmacies may be different from the other parts of the store, and vary from state to state. I tried CVS, but "Propylene Glycol" turns up EVERY product that contains it... nearly everything seems to have it.

Can you provide a link? I was looking for a local source. What is the straight stuff used for by consumers, other than for E-cig juice?

Thanks
