I've had a friend of mine point out that the pg juice (polyglcerine..don't think that's spelled right) hope you get what I mean though is banned in many countries like Germany being one, as it's an antifreeze type base, may not be good for you if inhaled.

He thinks the VG is a much healthier way to go. Any thoughts on this?

I use only VG. When I first started I was not well informed like alot of people. I bought a JOYE 510 starter kit and some E-Liquid. The E-Liquid had no nicotine in it but was 100% PG. RY4 was the flavour. It sucked. Next to no flavour and very dry.
Then someone on here told me it was possible to get E-Liquid with Nicotine here in Canada. So I found a vendor here in Quebec. Max 20mg/ml. Excellent quality, I love it. He offer 100% PG, 50/50, or 100%VG. I have only bought 100% VG and I LOVE it. I'm thinking of trying the 50/50 mix to see the difference. Who knows, maybe I'll like it even more. Maybe more throat hit?

Also I will be buying a JOYE EGO-T soon. I'm a trucker, looking for something that will have longer lasting battery life, and with the tank, less re-filling. With my 510, I drip.. and dripping and driving is not my thing. Too dangerous.

Lets see. PG gives more TH and less Vapour. VG gives more vapour but mutes the flavour. A lot of us use e-juices that are blended of both.

I agree, I mix my own for the most part 27% VG to 73% PG which seems to give me a good balance of vapor to TH and flavor.

As the abiding dude to whom all our base are belong to said, PG can dry your throat out. If you go with a PG heavy mix, keep a glass or bottle of water handy at first. I prefer about a 70/30 to 80/20 PG/VG mix myself, but I already drank well over a gallon of water per day before starting down the road to vapesville.

If you get a chance, grab some samplers of both 100% PG and 100% VG in the same flavor, nic level and from the same vendor in order to really tell the difference for future reference. You can then mix them in different ratios until you find your own basal sweet spot.

Good luck! :D

My advice to new vapors is to stick with “PG” juice.

PG has been the base from the start and offers many advantages. As such most suppliers juice, unless specified is primarily PG. As already mentioned most suppliers will use 25% VG to thicken the PG in their juices. For most people this is the ideal mixture. The VG thickens the PG up just enough.

100% VG on the other hand, some people do prefer. To each their own. But to be completely honest, we do get a fair number of customers ask us, after trying it, why we even carry it. They find it far too thick and has the taste of burning tires. In my view the 2 are not interchangeable, unless you are one of the smaller group who knows they favor 100% VG, or for medical reasons must use VG (under 1% of people may have a mild allergic reaction to PG, such as a very dry throat).

Burning tires, eh? I never found that. Maybe it depends on the flavour. I find VG very smooth to vape but lacking in taste. Almost like a hint of flavour.

I do find that PG and VG juices are different with different suppliers. Some have PG juices that are so thin andharsh and their VG juices are fairly thin too. I figure they have cut it with something to make it thinner. Others have VG so thick that it takes forever to get it out of the bottle.

To each their own. Some folks like black coffee, it whatever works for you ;) Not knocking it, just I don't recommend any newbie to buy only VG in bulk LOL.

Pure PG is really thin. If mixed with nicotine it will give you some hit, mostly from the nicotine. Pure PG at zero strength is like vaping water, which is why it need some VG in it. Commercial juice like Dekang is a mix.

All the VG I've come across is very thick. Helps to warm it up to room temp. Out of the fridge, you'll need a hammer and chisel for it.

Both are very easily contaminated with water. Left in high humidly both will become much thinner and not work very well. It is very important to store the juice properly in a dry cool place, like the fridge especially during these warm humid days of summer
