PG problems

I went to buy a gallon of PG at my local farm store , got the idea from videos I have seen and the guys in the feed store looked at me like I was nuts....LOL Maybe it has another name?? I asked for 100% propylene gylcohol USP grade........they came back with that is antifreeze. Any suggestions as to what I am suppose to ask for?

PG USP is a component of antifreeze but it's not anti-freeze itself. However it can be used for deicing. The USP means it's pharmacy grade. So long as that is the only ingredient.

Thanks Roxics for commenting........but what is it that I am suppose to ask for then....I contacted yet another farm store locally and they too do not know what it is.

Ask for Propylene Glycol USP. Make sure that is the only ingredient with a 99.5% or 99.8% on it.
