Does the PG with 0ml of nicotine sold at various on line E-cig sites used to cut e-liquid, have alcohol in it?

I saw some at a local pharmaceutic store, I took a whiff and could smell alcohol in it. The bottle said it was food grade but I did not see USP on the lable, just propylene glycol food grade...

The price is a lot cheaper than what online sites are selling it for, but is it the same thing as the PG from the online sites? I have heard that it was, but am leery because of the alcohol smell.

Thanks

It shouldn't, but I wouldn't use anything that doesn't say USP grade. Surprised what you found at a pharmacy didn't say that on it. Conversely, if it says USP on it, it doesn't matter what it's packaged for, it's fine to vape.

FWIW, I just bought a gallon of USP PG at a Tractor Supply Co. for $20. Way cheaper than anything online. It was in the farm animal health section, though I have no idea what they'd use it for.

I'm kind of miffed that TSC in the US sells PG but not the ones in Canada.

In any event, I can't imagine why store-bought PG would be cut with alcohol. The stuff you get from vendors certainly should not be -- it should be straight up USP grade PG with no additives, unless you get it flavoured, in which case, the flavouring may contain alcohol.

It is used as a cure or preventative for some condition pigs get. There is probably some place in Canada that sells it.

I'm sure there must be, I just haven't found one yet. I can get 100ml bottles of VG almost anywhere (though at $3 a bottle it's pricey for larger quantities) but no PG yet -- though since the applications for PG differ I'm almost certainly not looking in the right places.
