PG Sensitivity...does it carry over?

A friend of mine just asked this question in another area of the forum and I thought it would be good to ask here if anyone has had any experience with this.

Good morning all, have a question do we have a doc or arnp on this forum that could give their opinion on someone with a pg allergy, that now requires a colonoscopy using miralax for prep which is all PG in high dose diluted with h2o. Would it not affect them if ingested vs inhalation? Please feel free to chime in if you had this this issue come up,thanks.

Just had this happen, the doc said to try a few glasses over a couple of days just to make sure. However Doc stated ingestion would most likely not be a problem in any way. Had a glass tonight without issue.

Hi .. I can't vape PG because it really bothers my kidneys after a while. I don't know if that qualifies as an allergy?
Had a colonoscopy in October and the prep medium contained PG as well. (MoviPrep, made by Salix.) I had no side effects. (Except total disgust while drinking it... tasted like Lemon Pledge.)
