Can someone give what they think is a time that a reputable company should wait before they ship out a replacement order of something that was lost in the mail.Do you think that a 8-10 days is too short to get a replacement sent??

yes 8-10 days is too short.. Most delivery companies wont even really consider it lost till 30days.
Yes, it is. They'll use their tracking number to contact the whoever they shipped through to try to find it & get it to you. I always track packages online & sign up for text alerts. Text alerts tell a lot about where a package is & if it's sitting or spinning off somewhere weird. They also include an 800# you can call to report a missing package & have them start tracing it. Your vendor does the same thing when you report to them that you don't have your order yet. Both of you contacting the shipping company goes on the record with the shipper & helps them spot problems they are having, too, like undelivered mail dumped in a ditch, or stored in a garage. But they probably won't reship for 30 days.
