Hi I was using a 70/30 PG/VG mix and have changed to 50/50 mix because I found it a little less expensive. However I am having problems with the 50/50 mix wicking, is 50/50 less viscose than 70/30? help needed, thanks G
VG is thicker than PG, so a 50/50 ratio has more viscousity then 70/30. What are You using, I vape at 50/50 have have had no problem with wicking with Protanks or T3's. Both from the factory or when rebuilt with a single strand of 3mm wick.
I have tried 100 PG, 70/30 PG/VG, 65/35 PG/VG and 60/40 PG/VG AND 50/50 PG/VG. I have found anything less than 60% PG doesn't wick well. You can dilute it with PG or even a little bit of water. I also found that carefully prewetting the wicks with a touch of water helps with wicking. But I am a NOOB too, only a couple of months in so hopefully others more experienced have something better to add to the discussion.
Since the ego c is a filled mouth piece that drips onto the atomizer a thinner liquid (70/30) would have an easier time getting to the coil. A thicker juice (50/50) will need a bit of coaxing to leave the mouth piece, run down to the atomizer for vaporizing.
if you wanted to stick with your current 50/50 solution you could always add a drop or two of distilled water to help thin it out and maintain the proper flavor profile. It won't give it the viscosity of a 70/30 but it should give it that little nudge in the right direction.
