I'm making my own juice and sticking with VG only due to a slight PG sensitivity. The problem is no matter what viscosity I use the tanks still leak. Lately I have been making VG only juice with the viscosity of 50/50 mix by adding a little distilled water. When I thinned it out to match an 80/20 (PG/VG) liquid, I thought it was too thin causing the atomizer to leak, but at a viscosity similar to a 50/50 it is still leaking and gurgling but at the same time, it takes a long time to saturate the atty on initial use. I have a couple of Aspire ET-S tanks and a mini nautilus. The ET-S tanks leak a lot, the nautilus not so much but still does a little. I have read a lot of threads but haven't found specific information on how to best address this issue without using a dripper. I know some companies sell VG only juices so it can't be impossible. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks for your help.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here!:)

To fix a flooded atomizer take your tank off the battery and blow through the mouthpiece (with a paper towel under it or cover the airflow hole). This will drain the extra eliquid.

When you inhale, take a long smooth draw vs a short sharp draw. This will prevent extra eliquid from being pulled into your coils and flooding it. Inhalation technique with an e-cigarette

Whenever you first sense that your atomizer is beginning to flood try this:
1. Open up the airflow so when you take a hit you are not pulling in as much juice into your coils (if your tank has airflow control) .
2. Raise your voltage or wattage if your battery allows you to do this. This will vaporize more eliquid.
3. Tip your battery up (and take a few hits). By tipping it up you will prevent more eliquid from being fed into the coils.

Give one or all of these a try.:)

Thanks for your suggestions. Finally created an account on here although I've been browsing and reading the forum for about 9 months already so I feel like an old user even if I was just born :).

I do long smooth draws, mouth to lung so that is not the issue I think. I usually vape around 7-8 watts, I tried upping the wattage to 10.5 and it still leaks with the VG only DIY juice but it seems to leak less maybe. I'll try upping the wattage some more.

kkahmann - Are you making your own? if so, is it really 100% or are you thinning it out, and with what and how much percetage-wise? I use NF flavors so it already has distilled water and PGA bringing the consistency to the same as a 50/50 pg/vg juice.
