Beginner vapers that stopped smoking full flavored analogs tend to preffer high nic and >50% pg. I did 18mg and 80/20 at the beginning with cigalikes. The first time I hit an RBA i went down to 6mg and 50/50 as a min.

Since we're not all newbie vapers like 4 years ago a lot of people have moved from throat hit chasers to cloud density (impacts flavor also) ergo: More VG

I'm not into cloud chasing at all or real warm vapes. I mix my own and like 50/50. I do like throat hit. The pg is more of the part that helps with adding to the flavorings you use. Mainly the amount of nic is where the throat hit comes from for me. Which is why I drip 24mg nic. I tried mixing high vg to see what it was all about, but I vape an awful lot and it seems to make my chest feel heavy almost. If that makes any sense. Everyone is different and everyone has to find their own happy place. Just my 3¢ (inflation)

50/50 in my Nautilus Mini and Max VG in my Stillare Dripper. I got the RDA and Max VG to see If I would like it. I don't really care for it as it makes my throat feel like I'm inhaling water vapor. It almost feels like I have to cough up water from my throat when I drip. I need a solid setup that can go anywhere to replace smoking and the Tank is where it's at for me, so 50/50 is the way to go. It has a good throat hit and so far my favorite juice is, Moon Mountain Cosmo's Custard 50/50 12mg.

within my own thoughts....
I'm doing the 50/50 and that's only because my local vape shop only sells that kind. However, since i'm big on throat hit....i plan to purchase all my ejuice from online now so i can up the PG for a better throat hit than what i'm getting now. I've heard that VG can give the TH, but i'm just so sure if that's true due to many switch to the VG just because they like the vapor more so.

Jsl5150....noticed you said your throat hit "closed up"....if you mean it no longer existed, that's what has happened to me lately and don't understand it. I still taste the flavor, but i have to crank up my wattage in order to feel anything. It's a bummer i must say! However, going back to analogs wouldn't be the answer for me because i know i wouldn't get any throat hit from them either if this is a vapors tongue thing.

High pg all the way for me >80%. High vg (50/50)made my chest heavy and if I did a large intake with an efficient delivery system it felt like I just jumped into the deep end of the pool and got mass quantities of water up my nose. Not pleasant.

Doing lung inhales now on my new set-up so I get only a small throat hit even though I'm vaping more liquid and producing much more vapour.:vapor:

Hey

In my opinion when smokers come off traditional tobacco cigarettes ... those analogs ... they feel better at a 50/50 blend as it is a common blend but offers more of a simulation or resemblance to the feeling of smoking in the throat . They might even go with a higher PG blend to up the throat hit depending on what they were used to smoking . I also suspect they enjoy the intense flavour and since they probably wont be dripping right away then .. they enjoy this intense flavour they seem to find with PG .... as you VAPE more and more ... sometimes you can become influenced by the hobbyist or social aspect which can bring on a vapor chase or cloud chasing desire . If you journey towards this or it's just in you .. you will be going with a higher VG blend to try and find the best vapor production and density . The reason you are seeing 70/30 blends so much is because MAX vg is more competition than anything .. I doubt large percentages are using it daily although I could be wrong but with 30 PG still in the mix .. we can achieve some decent flavour and especially when dripping :) You might also notice higher VG blends with people who have PG sensitivity or allergies .. not that they will die or get hurt so to speak but they may have some un wanted symptoms is all and then they will go VG . I enjoy 70/30 myself but wouldn't turn down a 50/50 of some good juice even on a good day :) hope this offers some insight .
