I just ordered some vapor..... juice at 70vg/30pg because I wanted to try a higher vg. I predominately use EVOD BCC's. I also use an evic.

Usually before using a new atty i'll take the top wick out of it and it works flawlessly. Well, I did that this time and now i'm getting just dry hits. I'm guessing it has to do with the high vg? Not sure what to do. I usually vape a 2ohm around 4-4.2 v's. I had the setting down to 3 v and was still getting dry hits.

Any suggestions? I really am new to changing up pg/vg ratios so any help would be great! I usually keep my ratio around 50/50 or 60 pg

I apologize that I can't answer your question, but reading it brought a question from me. I'm not sure what you mean about the top wick removal. I use an EVOD as well. If I understand correctly, are you removing one of the 2 'flavor wicks'? that sit on top of where the coil is?

Again, sorry for not contributing but I'm new and curious.

Yeah, I actually got the idea from pbusardo. My friend uses evod's also and he showed me the video where p gives the instructions on how to do it. I hated the evod before it and now i love it. Who knows, I may be messing up the whole thing but to me, i never get dry hits anymore. I don't know the specific video but if you look through his stuff you'll see it. I think he originally said it about bcc t3's but i really don't remember. Sorry. :/

EDIT: I found the specific video, it was about the vapeonly bcc but the idea works for the evod too

Try removing the second top wick, though you may start to get flooding/gurgling, maybe just take out a few strands from the wick and not the whole thing. I've also heard of people flipping over the little silicone cap that sits above the wicks so that it's not choking them.

^^^^ agreed. You can always add back in if needed.
The PG/VG ratio is not the concern but rather the actual Viscosity of your E-liquid. The thicker it is the more open your wick/coil must be to get the fluid to the coil.
I've seen 50/50 that flowed like water and 50/50 that dripped like syrup.
