if you had 2 bottles of a standard, common flavor (maybe something like RY4) and one bottle was 100% PG and the other was 100% VG, what would the difference be? which does what? does one differ from the other in things like throat hit? vapor production? taste? etc...

i'm used to getting stuff that is around 50/50 but i am wondering about going "all natural" and switching to 100% VG...

lemme know what ya think!

ps... if it matters any, i am a dripper 100%.

Pg gives more throat hit and is thinner. VG is what makes big vapor and is thicker and sweeter. 100% VG is usually kinda thick and can wick poorly in filler material but since your dripping that should be a non-issue. You might miss the TH but you might be able to make up for it with menthol or something.

PS - My preference is 50/50 seems to work good in about anything (I use cartos and drip a good bit too). Also has decent TH and plenty of vapor.

Are you having issues with PG?

after some experimenting, found out that I need to balance the strength and PG content to get the right TH. If I ignore that, i either get a harsh TH or no satisfactory TH.
For example ....
if I want 18mg, I'll get it in 60/40 PG/VG
24 ..... 40/60
30 ..... 20/80
36 .... 100% Vg
12 ..... 80/20
you might want to experiment a little till you find your own preferances. Everyone is different.
I found out that the issue of PG/VG ratio combined with strength is as important if not more important than flavor for a satisfactory vaping experience.

@denrock- well i dont know if im having an issue really... it was a curiosity. but the one flavor i have that is PG only is way too harsh and kinda cooks the roof of my mouth and back of my throat... then the flavor i have which i really like (Modern Vapor Vanilla) is 65/35... it cooks a little less, but its still too throaty. in both cases i wish i had more vape. i dont know why i thought these were 50/50... turns out i dont own ANY 50/50s...

@wetclay- im assuming when u speak of the (mg) above you are talking about nicotine? well im two weeks into my vaping and started with 24mg of nic... it seems to have been too high cuz it can sometimes make me queasy. im gonna step that back next juice order and see. maybe the throat burn is coming from the nic? i think with my next juices i wanna try 50/50 @ a lower nic dose...

i guess in the end, it's just gonna be experimentation over the next few months, eh?

My very first juice was 100% PG also. I found it a bit harsh and that vaping it heavily for hours would make my chest feel heavy. 50/50 I have found I can totally get stupid with for hours on end with the PV barely leaving my lips and having no problems at all. I think it also helps that fsusa's juices are cleaner and purer. I think you should probably give 50/50 a try.

I think the best thing I can suggest is maybe to order 5ml bottles you can get those at whatever mg you want. They are a bit more though. Maybe make a big list and try to order a few of the ones you want to try the most once a week or every couple weeks, and eventually you'll try lots. That's about the best idea I can think of right now. If you lived in AZ I'd say wait a few weeks and go to the vape lounge and try everything you want for free.

yeah i have been looking around the FSUSA site... honestly, i like what they have to say and i like all that they offer, but i am finding it has way too much info and way to much to choose from. i wanna order lots of sample sizes, but they only come in 24mg nic. thats bummin me out.

berube - I agree with Denrock. Order the 5 ml bottles, then use the coupon code on the front page of the site to get 10% off your purchase.

I thought the same thing. I vape 18MG nic. FSUSA had a nice special about a week ago where you could order a 60ML bottle and get 5 samples for free. I was bummed about the 24MG and 50 PG/50 VG mix.

Once the samples arrived, I had to try them all. I not only got dizzy but I was a bit nauseous too. That was my own fault. They were yummy!

Anyway, it was still a great way to try a bunch of flavors that I had wanted to try. I still have the samples and use them when I need a quick boost of nicotine (morning or before running to a meeting). I then purchased 120ML of Caramel Apple and 60ML of Candy Apple. My normal vape flavor was the one I ordered with my very first order at FSUSA which got me the samples. It is also my all-time favorite. It is called Cappuccino Smooth.

Since all of the flavors that I really like only come in 50% PG/VG mixes, that isn't a deciding factor for me but, before I found FSUSA, I preferred VG. Because vaping isn't like smoking due to that long drag you need to take, I found that I really liked a lot of vapor. TH is nice but, I like to blow out big billows of vapor. VG is king of vapor. PG is king of TH.

So, I still like having those samples kicking around. I don't vape them unless I want to re-sample a couple of drops. Or, if I need a boost. I am very glad I got them. Then again, I can only express my experiences and hope it helps.

thanx dave! i think FSUSA is def gonna be my next juice stop.

FSUSA was the 5th place that I ordered juice from. There hasn't been a 6th yet and I haven't ordered again from the others. Although, I am always up for a good juice. Thing is, there are so many flavors at FSUSA, it is going to be a long while before I get bored. If ever.
