VG is thicker, it gives better clouds, but does not carry flavor as well. PG, of course, is thinner, carries flavor better, and gives more of a throat hit, which is virtually non existent with VG. I personally prefer about 70pg/30vg. I'm not a cloud chaser, but that gives me enough vapor and throat hit, also the liquid is thin enough to wick well in the devices i use.

It is personal preference, but there's a pretty significant difference.

VG is commonly found to be a smoother vape (I agree, I vaped 100% PG for testing flavors, and will never do it again). It's also a lot thicker in the bottle, and produces more vapor.

All of these are good things, IMO. The drawback is that it takes flavors longer to mix fully in a VG-rich juice (let's say 70-80% VG), and the thickness makes some set-ups have a hard time wicking: you might get more dry hits, if you're not careful.

Hiya, 4flowers! You have it right for the most part.

I might have said not as goof for tanks, because of the wicking with higher VG, but it can be used in tanks if you give the wicks time between draws to absorb the thicker fluid.

That being said, it of course depends on the vaping style of the person, and if the thicker fluids aren't good for how you use tanks, then it's not good :)

Welcome aboard and happy vaping!

VG is so thick it suffocates me and puts me into a permanent asthma attack; it also produces so much vapor, it chokes me. PG doesn't do any of that. But some people find PG very irritating, and having finally experienced that irritation when I vaped 90% PG for several days in a row, I can understand their distaste; that particular irritation is very painful, it's basically a chemical burn. So I stay in the 80%-85% PG range, and don't get suffocated or irritated.
