PG USP can be bought from many of the DIY vendors on this forum, or from local Tractor Supply Stores. I've heard that at TSS it is around $20 for a gallon, as it is used for treating some skin condition on livestock.
If it says PG USP, and no other ingredients, it should be good to use.

In my experience and if you do some searching for "cigar humidifier propylene glycol" I mix 50/50 PG and distilled water. Just PG alone seems to not humidify enough. All depends on your temp and ambient humidity though. Most of the PG you get in cigar stores for this purpose are a mix of water and PG.
Should be fine then, the USP is the key marking. Just check to make sure no other ingredients are listed.
