I highly doubt that any mod maker is creating their own alloy, specifically for them, to make mod tubes. They are selecting their metal from a list of already available alloys. All brass isn't created equal. There are many different alloys which fall under the umbrella of "brass". I suspect Phantom Brass is probably one of the Naval Brass or Admiralty Brass alloys.

I own 2 Stingrays in "phantom" brass. I let one take a heavy patina, the other I covered in a clear wrap. With the heavy patina it looks similar to naval brass, but with a neat mottled texture effect. The polished one emphasizes the difference of the metal content; it is the color of champagne. Stunning to look at.

I have several brass mods, and they all patina differently. Undoubtedly, it is due to the brass alloy the maker is using. I only polish my brass mods occasionally, I'm not a polishing freak. I love the look of aged brass.

Different conditions will cause brass to patina differently.
The PH of your sweaty palms will make a difference.

"Phantom" brass is just a marketing name used to sell a very expensive brass tube.

Just wait, you'll see posters swearing its a new type of brass made especially for JD tech for this mod.
Lol
It is not.
It's a stock brass alloy.
Who knows which one, there are many.

No question it's a stock brass alloy. I'm assuming it's one of the Naval Brasses. From what I've read about brass, the patina is affected a lot by the percent of zinc in the alloy.
JD isn't the first modder to use their alloy chioce in their marketing. Vapourart did similar with their choice of 'aluminum/bronze' for their Paps Lux tubes.
