I was at the NEV meet too and grabbed a sample of Gary's RX4 also. I thought there was a strong licorice flavor in the tobacco that overpowered the other flavors. Reminded me a little of Madvape's Mad4.
I think he mentioned it was dekang(y)... I am guessing that is the sharper tobacco flavor that you get as licorice.
